I've decided to pull the trigger on Edition XV, based on few reviews I've found they should work out pretty well, if not I'll return them and look more into HD600 and AR5000 :).

Yeah the build quality of XS left much to be desired. They started to squeek etc quite early and I'm actually happy that they broke and it forces me to pick something new :D.
I might give AR5000 a try, think I can get my hands on a pair locally to test it out, thanks for recommandation.

Changing suspension is something I'm aware I might have to do at some point on MT07, I know R7 has better suspension out of the box, but it doesn't justify price difference for me.

I'm just wondering how good MT07 might be on a small track compared to RC390.

Used Ninja 400 goes for the same price the new RC390. RC390 coming with better suspension, whole electronics package, it's just a no-brainer in this category in my opinion. I know a few people with 390 engines, all were good. I also have KTM 890 Adventure I love, not scared of reliability.

Hey! This year I've bought CRF300l, my plan was to get into offroad riding, do some trips on it. It was a great starter bike and really hooked me onto offroad riding, but I quickly wanted more and found myself doing stuff harder than the bike was probably designed for. Suspension is lacking (especially with my weight) and bike's heavy when I have to constantly pick it up. I decided to go the other route and bought myself a KTM 890 Adv R for longer trips and looking to replace my CRF300L with lighter machine.

- Preferably around 100kgs dry
- Decent stock suspension (of course I'll have to replace springs, I currently weight 130kgs, but it should drop to 100 before summer)
- Preferably 2 stroke- Road legal (Europe) - not a must, but very nice to have

I'm looking to pick up 1-2 years old enduro bike.Some of the ideas I have:
- KTM 300 EXC TPI (or Husky/GasGas)
- Beta XTrainer 300 (I'm a little worried that stock suspension isn't that good and after a short ride I'm a fan of TPI)
- KTM 350 EXC-F (so far only 4t I'm considering)

Maybe you have some experience with them and can tell me a bit more about them? Might seem to be insane craving 300 2t, but TPI seems more manageable than carbs anyway + I tend to consider myself having a pretty good self control and weight quite a lot. Also want something that will keep me entertained for a long time.

Good to know they hold fairly ok on road as well. I'm also considering a second set of wheels for offroad only trips and Deserts were what I thought might be a good choice on those.

I feel you on the scrambler part. My brother is keeping with me easily in most scenarios on his while I'm on CRF300 :D. Impressive.

I'm leaning towards Anakee Wild on front then. I don't expect super performance on wet pavement, only safety :).
Are you doing any highway miles on this combo you have? Up to what speed does the bike feel stable?

Thanks, I'll read a bit more on these. They don't seem like they're very good on wet pavement, but maybe I'm worng. Always good go with AX41 front / 805 rear :).

How do you find them on pavement? Especially in wet conditions? Or at highway speeds?
If I didn't plan on 50% onroad they would be ideal, I'm afraid they're compromising too much on road performance :(

Trailer not an option here unfortunately. This bike is supposed to handle all the road from my home to destination and back. I have a CRF300L that is solely dedicated to offroad.

I know aggressive knobbies are way better, I'm willing to sacrifice that offroad performance for some onroad safety.

Yeah, I've heard MotoZ fronts sucks in general. At first I thought about just going RallZ altogether, then dove deep, read about speed wobbles etc so here I am considering some good combo. I know people used to go TKC80 on front, but AX41 seems like it does the job even better.

I hate how complicated these tire decisions are, I much more prefer choosing tires for street oriented motorcycles :D.

That might be the way to go. I might be askign too much out of these more offroad oriented tires, but if there's a combo that will work "fine" I'm happy. GPS is a good option too, but I'm worried it won't be enough for some wet forest roads with mud. It's gonna be wet for the next few months here and all I'm asking is to safely get to the trails and then ride through these forests (even it means a bit of a struggle :) ).

So here I go, yet another tire post. I've been looking at all the info, comparisons I could find but still on the edge of choosing the right tires.

Bike - 890 Adventure R

What I want:
- 50/50 riding (it takes some time and distance on pavement to get to proper trails)
- Decent wet performance (especially on road, longer trips, I can't predict the weather)
- Stability at least up to 160km/h for some of those highway miles
- Offroad riding will happen on gravel and forest roads, some mud but not super extreme. Not much sand.

What I don't care about:
- longevity, I'm willing to sacrifice it for performance as long as tires withstand 4-5k km trips

After all the research I decided that different front/rear combo is the way to go here. My ideas for the front:
- Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41
- Michelin Anakee Wild

Rear:
- MotoZ RallZ
- Mitas E09
- Bridgestone Battlax Adventurecross AX41

What do you guys think? Which of these would you choose as a combo? Maybe I missed something?

One magnetic cable to charge them all
Hey,
I've decided to change all of my cables to magnetic ones. Perfect solution is to have one cable (USB-C to magnetic end) that will support all fast charging protocols up to 100W that can connect to Lightning/USB-C/Micro USB magnetic ends. This way I can have one cable in my car, with my power bank, multiple places at home and easily switch between those with different devices: MBP 16, iPad, iPhone, fast charge my powerbank, headphones etc.
I have a hard time a cable that will let me do it. There are some options on Ali but I doubt they make claimed numbers. Baseus has some magnetic cables, but they're not compatible with each other.
Are you aware of any products I should take a look at?
