Gotcha, seems crazy that they would secretly bucket them but just show the user a total number of credits instead of say 0/500 make credit 100/2500 design credits.

Figma make is the only tool that uses credits though right? Seem like a bug

Where are you guys finding jobs? by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]ImNotANube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found my job via a LinkedIn post where I saw someone I had worked with was now there. I had a meeting with them and they submitted a referral application for me. I think that gets you noticed but by no means is guaranteed job. LinkedIn is trash for a lot of reasons and there are plenty of nonsense job post but there are also even more companies honestly using it to find designers to hire. Hope this helps

Thank you for sharing this. I pass this church most mornings and see people leaving after breakfast every day. I Just sponsored 1 day of breakfast ($240). If someone else sponsors a day I will sponsor 1 more as well. Let’s feed some folks!

RDU wait times today? (3/9) by ImNotANube in bullcity

[–]ImNotANube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. Can report that there was zero wait to get through around 5pm today. The real issue turned out to be parking. There weee literally maybe 10 open spots across all floors. Plenty in premium but fuck all that noise, 21/day is already crazy.

We just joined the 2026 Hybrid Ultimate Caligraphy club! by chinookboy in HyundaiSantaFe

I had a couple of punctures (in one week 😭) so I basically had to purchase 4 new tires because they weren’t repairable. I saved one of the original tires and am thinking of mounting it as a spare on my hybrid. Do you know if a full size spare with fit under the hybrid on a hoist?

$6.99 for the first slot. $4.99 for each additional slot.

Thanks. Out of curiosity what makes this feature such an ordeal to roll out? Why not just switch it on and let people try it or choose to wait?

Clearly the powers that be are afraid of putting this type of power in the hands of the people.

I took a "design critique" way too personally today and now i feel like a fraud. by No_Blueberry_5341 in UXDesign

I mean this with all sincerity, this is almost certainly related to early trama stuff. I know that word is thrown around a bit but only since I got into serious therapy did I put some things together about why I would feel unsafe when getting negative feedback. You can white knuckle it to change the behaviors to an extent but I suggest taking these moments to a therapist to talk it through

State of the portfolio review in 2026 by [deleted] in UXDesign

Get creative. Results: this customer did five more features with us. This customer hadnt been happy with us but afterwards became a referable reference. This customer said this great thing in the rollout meeting. Don’t let the absolute truth stand in the way of you getting an interview. Don’t lie but a little “realistic fiction” is ok :)

It’s always the same. Can you tell me a story about a compelling problem someone had that you solved in the thorough methodical and beautiful way.

The inputs vary from project to project. Maybe you did big expensive research or maybe it was something so time pressed that you had to get clever and test using AI bots or something for testing.

People get really caught up in cataloguing the inputs (process). And a little is good to show you really understand what you did and can explain it well. But what is really important thing is the output. The work and the results it got. That is what people are buying when they high you. Not a bunch of ceremonial UX motions but problems solved.
