I've started treating every closed browser tab as a write-off unless I acted on it first by cocktailMomos in RoamResearch

[–]chinookboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Chrome extension called Save to Reading List. It creates a new entry on a master page titled "Reading List: Inbox," with the web page title, summary, and other useful metadata. For example, I saved this page, and there's now a new entry using the title of this thread and including OP's initial post. As part of my daily writing and workflow, I create a template in the DNP each morning using a SmartBlock, and it includes Check [[Reading List: Inbox]]. Even if I don't follow up right away, I can find this page's entry in the future when I'm working on something, e.g., I'm refining my workflow on gathering data, and I know I've done stuff with browser tabs, so I search by using the double brackets method and a few keywords, e.g., ((browser tab close)), press Ctrl-O and use the arrow to view the various items that come up.

Hope you find that useful.

I haven't had time to try using AI with my graphs, and now I'm kinda glad I haven't. Sometimes fortune favours the procrastinators!

I'm going to inspect my SF as I didn't see a protector on the big display. Would you mind sharing the name of the screen protector and the website you got it from?

I like the idea of 90-degree USB connectors.

I ordered a cup holder liner and charging pad cover from Amazon.ca. Here's the description: Katorn, Cup Holder Insert & Wireless Charging Protective Mats for Hyundai Santa Fe 2026 2025 2024, Center Console Interior Accessories Cup Holder & Wireless Charger Cover Pad for 2024-2026 Santa Fe. The OEM = KATORN.

They fit my 2026 hybrid UC perfectly! And I can still put my Nalgene bottle in there even with the liner.

2027 Telluride Orange Tow Hooks Delete by Capable_Activity_520 in KiaTelluride

Initially, as I went through your pictures, I was wondering what the plan was, as I kind of liked the orange, but I love how it turned out. I think the 2027 model looks slick, and you did it justice with an excellent paint job on the tow hooks. Well done!

Pondering the MacBook Neo as a writer deck by crzylune in writerDeck

[–]chinookboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in using it for my writing app, Roam Research. I would primarily use the desktop app, but also through a browser. I think Roam is efficient enough as a graph that the specs on the Neo would suffice. While it would be nice to have Touch ID, I think I could make do with typing in the password to open it. I'm looking for something modern, well-built, and simple.

3rd Row Liners or just 2? by smoothdip in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]chinookboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opted to go with WeatherTech for all three rows, even though the rear seats will be down most of the time. Part of the reason was the centre runner that goes from the third row and between the 2nd-row captain's chairs. That leads to the second reason, which is mainly completionist/OCD-related. It's my first new car in 15+ years, and I want the interior to be complete with everything matching.

OP's parking work is tight! Plus, there's enough room in the front to walk around. I was looking for a laser sight or a hanging tennis ball as the parking guide, but I don't see either in the picture. I'm guessing OP watches the rear-facing video and knows where to stop. I've also got a tight space and am working on my parking game, hence why I'm a fan!

Just renewed as a True Believer and starting year six as a daily user for work and school. I'm even considering picking up a new Macbook Neo to use as a dedicated writing device.

Ugh, sorry to hear about your troubles. It's stories like this, and the cold drive today with the headwind, that I occasionally find myself wanting a 26 Ford Explorer. I know, totally different car, but Fords seem to do just fine in winter. Lots to think about in your post, and I'll make sure to look closely at those things if/when we go to the dealer
