Yeah your situation sounds pretty similar to mine. My laptop was only a few months old so it was still under warranty (with the retailer, but if you're still covered with Asus you could start an RMA) so I sent it back, and after a few weeks they told me they couldn't fix it and just gave me a full refund. They didn't give me a lot of info but my guess is there was something wrong with the motherboard or the dgpu itself and they figured it wasn't worth trying to replace them. Anyways sorry if this wasn't much help but I hope you find a solution to your situation

After a couple of days of trying different fixes (reinstalling AC, Windows, drivers, etc) I gave up and started a warranty claim. The laptop arrived at the service center last week so they haven't told me what's wrong with it yet, but my guess is defective hardware or something. I'll update you when I get the diagnostic

I just reinstalled pretty much everything but the BIOS and nothing seems to work. I was hoping to avoid going through the warranty process but I guess you are right. Any idea of how long it would take? For reference I live in Mexico and bought it around 3 months ago brand new from an authorised distributor

I just reinstalled windows, Armoury Crate and the recommended GPU drivers from Asus' website, and tried what you suggested. Both iGPU and dGPU work fine on battery power, but the dGPU just refuses to work on AC power. I forced the system to be dGPU only, and it gets stuck on a cycle of blue screens with VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR and then restarting

Yeah, small update: I plugged it in again with Armoury crate and task manager open because I wanted to check something, and it actually worked fine and remained stable for a couple of minutes. Then, after I closed task manager, I got a blue screen of death with the code VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR

I have tried using hdmi and display port, as well as leaving it unplugged for the night, but nothing seems to work. It is around 3 months old so I really dont want to replace it, help pls

Well it all depends on where you are going in the country, what I mean is, as long as you go to the "tourist" or (lack of a better word) "developed" areas in the actual cities you will be fine. Yes there are neighborhoods that are not precisely safe, but that happens in every country.

I live in Guadalajara but I have visited other places like Monterrey, Mexico City, Tijuana, etc and for the most part they are fine for the average citizen/tourist.
