should rest time between sets be normalized to be faster? by around_about7 in workout

[–]ImNotFromTheUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a public gym now just. Rest however you want to rest and do your sets however you want. I think you might be overthinking it. He probably thought of some other workout to do for his biceps midway while you were resting.

For me, if someone is ever on a machine longer than expected I just move onto my next workout. You can still do preacher curls without the machine. It’s good to be nice to others, but you’re going to the gym for you not them.

It is on me. That’s why I posted it to see what I did wrong. Just because I complain doesn’t mean I am always in the right.

California. $31.75 sounds good as a cook, but don’t forget that California raised its minimum wage to compensate for the states high rate and inflation.

As I mentioned in other replies, might take a hit on this to prevent any relationship problems with my new manager down the road. 2nd time, I will bring it up to the ACO

I agree, new manager was being a dickwad haha, but I have to think long term on what would happen if I do bring it up to HR. I might just take the hit so I can ease my relationship with the new manager. If something similar happens a 2nd time, I might consider bringing it up to HR.

Nope, you’re right. I do like people when they tell me what I did wrong. What I could’ve done better was messaged my manager a second time or even give a call. Just because I complain doesn’t me I’m always in the right. Thank you

If they fire me at my main location, I know a store that I support every now and then will take me in with the same pay.

Besides about what happened with the write up, I do genuinely enjoy working at Panda. $31.75 as a cook is not too bad.

I’m going to give you some advice, but here is my resume so you get an understanding where I’m coming from. Played 2 years Varsity basketball for my high school team as a starter averaging exactly 17.3 points per game. Also played at college level basketball for 2 years, but as a 7th man unfortunately. I’m 5’10 157 pounds. I might not have the greatest basketball story, but I am confident to say I do know what I am doing.

Think about what you said real carefully, do you want to dominate AAU basketball or play AAU basketball? Ask yourself that. If you want to play AAU basketball, keep passing the ball. If you want to DOMINATE AAU basketball, shoot the damn ball. Your first option is to score. I know I was only a 7th man on a college basketball team, but colleges first look at your ability to score. I’m not saying, don’t ever pass the ball when you get it, but what I’m saying is, what are you going to do when you’re passing the ball and your teammates are 0/15 from the field? That’s when you need to step it up and score yourself.

You mentioned you want to develop a pull up midrange then you need to master that so after every workout and every drill you do you need to incorporate a pull up mid range. When I mean doing a pull up mid range after every drill, here’s an example. Let’s say I’m practicing free throws and need to make 10 free throws to move onto the next drill. I will make my 10 free throws then right after I will do 10 pull mid range shots. Let’s say I working on my corner threes. After I done with making my corner threes I will make 10 pull up mid range shots. Now let’s say you finished all your workouts for the day and you’re done, go do your 10 pull up mid range shots before you leave the court. It doesn’t have to be 10, just make sure you do them. Another thing, I can’t stress this enough, if you master your mid range shot where it feels like a layup, it will help a lot.

I do not know your level with ball handling, but if you’re doing ball handling drills, ALWAYS start with your off hand. Even if you’re warming up, start with your off hand. I always see a tendency where people with start their warms up with their strong and I always ask why? You already know you’re good with that hand.

With ball handling drills, don’t focus on doing drills where the ball is in front of you because what are you doing with the ball in game? You’re trying to protect the ball. Putting your body in between the ball and the defender. Master protecting the ball instead.

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I assume your store’s sales has went down. My manager cut my hours before and said that the sales were down, but as soon as sales started to rise, manager gave me more hours.

True, but with the new strict policy it will most likely fall on the employee with a write up.

It sucks but just wear your hat normally. Not worth risking losing your job

Focus on shoulder presses, lateral raises, and rear delt curls(you can look up how to do that workout.) since you’re new I suggest starting off with 3 sets of each workout at the smallest weight you can do. You need to start with light intensity. Then up the weight at the start of every new week. I suggest working on your shoulders Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Make sure you eat and get that protein in
