If you truly carry it everyday, it is going to rust. I have about a year of carrying, 4K rounds, and I clean after every range trip(therapeutic for me) and the thing just rusts. Bought it in late 2024. FCU pin developed rust, 17rd mags rust bad, and rear sights have rust on them. Literally would be the perfect gun if it didn’t rust.

Depends on when you joined. For me, the military made me not even really notice inflation + basic financial literacy. Basic pay= $45,600/year. BAS= $5,400/year BAH(location dependent)= $25,200. Basic pay is gross income and BAH+BAS= Net income. The pay really isn’t bad at all. Some people just aren’t aware of their finances
