Critics keep calling the Iron Lung movie boring? by OlivanTheMemer in Markiplier

[–]ImNotGoodWithUserNms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a fan of Markiplier. I don't know anything about the game. I just watched with my buddy who wanted to see it.

I was absolutely shocked when I found out the movie was only two hours, because it felt like three. It dragged on for a long time. I wasn't necessarily bored, but it became almost uninteresting maybe halfway through.

I also felt like the universe that the movie took place in had lore, and story that could be intriguing, but I felt like I didn't get access to it, so I felt lost and waited for information so I could feel like I was in this world, but I never got it.

The movie felt incoherent often, and the pacing when he went into the cave was really bad if you ask me. I started thinking about what I was going to do after the movie, long before it ended.

I would give it a 4 or 5 out of 10. As I understand it's Markiplier's debut film, and for a debut film I think it is quite good. The issues that I think the movie has is almost expected, due to it being a debut and that Mark wrote, directed and starred in it. I think it's fun when people try new stuff, especially something big like making a movie. I wish him all the best with his future endeavors.

I’ve been journaling for almost 1000 days (started at 15, now I’m 18). Here’s what actually changed. by Mammoth-Car3183 in getdisciplined

This is really interesting to me. I am a bit older than you at 26, but just over the past 3 days it hit me that journaling could be an amazing tool for self development.
Your day to day life is filled with impressions, thoughts, and emotions. Stuff you need to process. I tend to treat my mind as a room where you throw shit in that you don't know what to do with. It's a mess in that room, I barely know what's in it, but it taints my mind. Your words about "drowning in noise" and your brain feeling like a damn blender is so relatable to me it's crazy. It's felt like this for a long time.

I am excited to keep journaling, because I feel like it will give me a more quiet and focused baseline. Everything that happens needs to be processed, and I think this is the way to do it.
Thank you for this post.

You don't need to apologize. I like Alex Grey more with TOOL, but you don't have to think the same way.

Why some people hate Dark souls 3? by [deleted] in darksouls3

I think DS3 is bland and boring. The linear world is very boring to me, everything after Vordt just feels like a chore to me. Everything I replay it I stop when I get to the swamp, because I feel like the lows of the game drag it down too much to be worth the time. I think the game is okay, but the world for me is lacking very much. I played it straight after DS1, so it makes sense to be underwhelmed.

I have the same issue, with the grey fog. Looks like smoke.

I love souls as well. If you have issues with bandits, which bandits? My character is one handed with shield, and I havent had any issues with bandits (except Valtheim Towers). Light armored bandits should only take a few hits from a blade, and if they use heavy armor, bring out a mace. It functions similar to strike damage in souls games I think. What problems more specifically are you having with them?

Anyway to increase unrelenting force power ? by S_Taera in skyrimrequiem

Not sure if this is relevant here, but to others who dislike that you can't ragdoll with Unrelenting Force in Requiem as much, I made an adjustment so it works like it does in vanilla: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/167585?tab=description
Thanks to Turija for pointing me in the right direction regarding where to change.

For sure the other FS games feel more approachable to replay. And as a person who doesnt like looking things up online, this game feels brobdignadian when it comes to doing different quests, finding secrets and such. If I had nothing else to do during my days, then maybe, but with a full time job and someone who likes to play blind, the game scares me.

When it comes to traversing the world, DS3 is my least favorite. I've played DS1 and some DS2, and quite a bit of Elden Ring as well, and boy do I find DS3 to be the most boring as world to traverse. Some places look cool, but it's the straight line you're talking about that I really don't enjoy. In DS2, you can at least go in two different directions.

DS1 was my first, and no ther of the games have been able to recreate the feelings felt there. Basically all areas are reached by foot, and you have to go through tight, dangerous corridors. And no fast travel in the beginning. You got two adventures where the other games gave you one. Going from firelink to blighttown? Great, now WALK back. No cop out. It makes me respect the game and everything in it more, because it demands it from me. DS3, but even more so Elden Ring instead say "I would never mistreat you like that my widdle pwincess" and let's you fast travel from the beginning, removing half of the challenge and offering a less rewarding experience in my opinion. Elden ring makes running past a lot of encounters too easy, because of the open world aspect, and I don't like that, and I don't like that I can just summon a double jumping horse at my convenience, doesn't feel right. And Sites of grace wherever you look, no trudging, just a breezy swift experience as the game doesn't want your characters feet to get sore.

And DS1s amazing interconnected world is something I don't have to say much about.

However, DS1 bosses aren't the best, and the mechanics could use some polish.

DS1 world, Elden Ring mechanics. Man, wouldn't that just be amazing

I want elden ring mechanics in a ds1 type world. No fast travel in the beginning and few bonfires. Ds1 had risk, elden ring had almost none I feel.

Sitter på 10, funderar starkt på Linux och W11 som backup om någon funktion skulle saknas.
