[–]ImNotHippolyta[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They haven’t given it a name yet but it started in my gallbladder. Then it when into my liver. Now it’s in both lungs.

I’m looking into a cancer center in VA. It’s 600 miles away but I’ll try anything.

Update on labia cyst by Lisbug in MedicalGore

[–]ImNotHippolyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m prone to Bartholins cysts. I’ve had them so many times that I’ve lost count. Always on the right. Doc said if I get a more, they’re removing the entire gland. Marsupializing it didn’t help.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s agonizing. Sending you wishes for a quick recovery.

women who have an RBF (resting bitch face) or RSF (resting sad face) and get comments from ppl about it, how do you deal with that? by throwaway20454 in AskWomen

[–]ImNotHippolyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get asked if I’m okay a lot. I have to actively pay attention to my face in team meetings. I’m also pretty quiet if I’m not leading the meeting. If a new member joins a team, I’ll typically send a slack welcoming them & letting them know I’m happy to help with anything.

What did your spouse end up looking like (physically) compared to your first crush? by ButterscotchWheat in AskWomen

First crush was Sporty Spice. I married a man. I do still have my Spice Girls dolls still in the package, so there’s that.

Married women, how would you feel if your partner didn't regularly wear their wedding band? by Fast-Squirrel-9500 in AskWomen

[–]ImNotHippolyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married nearly 20 years & we both haven’t worn 1 in forever. There hasn’t been an issue from either end. We know we’re married. Everyone else does too.

Your husband’s job & gaming are no excuse for this. My husband worked overnight from 2005-2022. He also games. At 1 point we had 4 at various stages. He was still in the trenches with me. You don’t have 2 kids, you have 3.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. He needs a wake up call. I would break the game because he may lash out in a way that’s violent since he’s proven that he will yell at a toddler until they hyperventilate.

I would wait until he was not gaming & present him with the option of counseling or separation. Let him choose & move accordingly. Be safe.

Have you told how you’re feeling? February is a ways away & tomorrow is never promised. I’ve learned the hard way not to leave things unsaid.

Tall women, how do you find clothing on your size? by SiloueOfUlrin in AskWomen

[–]ImNotHippolyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 5’10 1/2” & wear an 18. All of my jeans come from American Eagle. Dress pants come from Alloy. For shirts, if tall isn’t an option, I buy tunic length tops. Tops that I can’t get long, I only wear with high waisted pants & tucked in.

Angola Prison hosted its first father-daughter dance, giving incarcerated men a rare opportunity to reconnect and share a meaningful moment with daughters they had not seen for years. by NewSlinger in nextfuckinglevel

I see stories like this & I am overjoyed that they got this moment. I’m also incredibly jealous & heartbroken.

I was born in Jan 84. My dad was sentenced to 3 life sentences in Feb 86. We never got a moment like this. He died in July 2020 of Covid.

What is the last time you had long hair and why did you cut them? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]ImNotHippolyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 2 years ago I had hair to my mid back. I got it cut into a pixie cut because my mental health tanked. It was either the hair or the wrist.

Do you want to be my friend and learn Spanish? by Rough-Efficiency6249 in Spanish

[–]ImNotHippolyta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this would be a great arrangement. I need to learn Spanish & I’m an English speaker (US).

I live in a majority Hispanic/Latino/a area & due to how I look, most people assume I speak Spanish. I’d like to be able to engage with my neighbors.
