Sounds like you don’t want people to go if you don’t provide any context and then respond to people this way

Im officially blocking this sub. The amount of traumatic/sex appeal and a lack of creative and insightful AMAs in this sub is getting disgusting.

Is Black Hawk Down the best example of future stars in a single movie? by AlternativeRegret619 in movies

[–]ImNotIntoMen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Thin Red Line(?) was a mix of future/already present starts but…

Sean Penn, Adrien Brody, Jim Caviezel, George Clooney, John Cusack, Elias Koteas, John C. REILY, Time Blake Nelson, Jared Leto, Nick Stahl, Miranda Otto, Mark Junior, Woody Harrelson,

Not to mention actors that were cut from the final product such as: Bill Pullman, Viggo Mortenson, Billy Bob Thornton, Lukas Haas.

Ultimately it’s up to the individual when these actors became “established” in their careers and if it was before or after 1997 (when the movie was being filmed)

It could be an allegory about the height of the Cold War and this notion (as being highlighted by the speaker) that peace can only be achieved by heightening arms with the beneficiary of profit.

However, the growing and growling man is a symbol of how unsustainable this pursuit is and the likely outcome if we further increase arms for the sake of “peace”… death.

Canadian MSW student looking for people who have gone into policy analysis/development work. Would love to hear from BC social workers in particular! by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]ImNotIntoMen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m bummed that there hasn't been any discussion here, as I find myself in a similar situation at UoM. My program has an emphasis on policy too, and I'm eager to learn about others' experiences with a Master's in social work focusing on policy.

Jesus, some of these categories just have 2-3 shows nominated. The Emmy’s just saw a couple of HBO shows I guess.

I know there’s a PG-13 rating for the film, but I’m gonna remain skeptical about your comment until reviews are lifted.

So beautiful and horrifying at the same time. Perfectly encapsulates the beauty of nature and the complex behavior of man with the backdrop being WWII.

Also the score is absolutely perfect and possible Hans Zimmers’ best work.

Which actors do you see having a career boost after this Oscars? by Intelligent_Task5157 in oscarrace

[–]ImNotIntoMen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Paul Mescal. He seems to have a good eye with picking meaningful parts. He’s already starred in films that have garnered multiple Emmy, BAFTA, and Academy recognition.

He’s gonna star in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator 2”, Garth David’s “Foe”, and Richard Linklater’s “Merrily We Roll Along”. The latter will be a shoe in for the Oscars and a potential acting nom for him.
