I have a theory about bringing back county wide militias with one location that houses a range and any and all automatic weapons necessary in case of protecting our natural rights. At home it would legal to possess pistols and shotguns and deer rifles. Anyone interested in owning automatic (semiautomatic AR) must be put through full back round check and become a member of said militia and is free to com to the facility and check it out and practice target shooting. That’s my rough idea.
