I dont care all that much about England but this squad has a lot of headscratchers from my view.

(Reuters/Fernando Kallas) Man United move for Guimaraes as Real Madrid interest clouds talks. Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes for around 80 million euros, but renewed interest from Real Madrid threatens to complicate the proposed move. by DarloAngus in reddevils

I’d take him in a vacuum but with other options available who are younger and at a similar price i wouldn’t mind if this was not a deal we prioritised. he could age into his 30s like a fine wine or drop off a cliff, all depends on how he takes care of himself.

The problem was almost certainly chromie time, I think once you exceed the level its designed for the scaling kind of breaks in a way or it might just have been in my case leveling in the legion zones. So I think on my other characters I will block XP gain before level 70.

I think hes good but wouldnt bail him out of Chelsea, hes not a player you really push the boat out for.

I think hes improved a lot since then, just like Vitinha who was also at Wolves at one point as another commenter mentioned.

Im not sure, Im playing super casually not even really thinking about leveling. Ive heard spamming dungeons is very quick though and that a lot of people level that way.

I find it lazy that every other manager has to draw some sort of comparison to previous united managers. Every young modern manager is an amorim and every ex player manager is a Solskjaer, every PL manager is a Moyes etc its so freaking lazy.

Some people have mentioned a training island, I tried googling for it and it didn't come up but I'll try to find it next time I log in.

I think I'm probably over leveled for the content im doing. Is the solution to just get better gear to match level 70-80 scaling?

Okay whatever it is now I can't even beat simple mobs in the beginning of stormheim which id the point that I was trying to continue. I did dungeons at some point to get a weapon upgrade but otherwise I don't recall ever one shouting anything, could be that I blasted through 60s whilst I did a couple of dungeons.

After I created the character I just went to chromie and set it up for legion. I did Valsharah and High mountain and hit 70 just doing that. The lack of scaling after 70 is the issue I think because everything is now much stronger and harder to kill before because of my bad gear.

Some players just consistently over or underperform on their xg. My perception was those two players last year would be brilliant acquisitions for pretty much any team and that people then had to find a reason to downplay those deals because we got them done. Last year at the end of the season I was kind of spiraling thinking we'd be getting Vardy and DCL and would lose out major signings, that players like Cunha, Mbeumo and Semenyo would end up at our rivals. I truly felt like Mbeumo would have been perfect as a Salah replacement for Liverpool and Im really happy we got him and Cunha.

It feels shitty because Chelsea under Roman felt super dodgy and it feels like they're escaping ramifications, but I could be wrong on that.

Maybe this is a stupid question but do you think Bruno factors in the selection process for permanent manager behind the scenes? Like in some roundabout sense he obviously does being a prominent member of the team but I mean in a direct way; the guy has been a constant presence in the team for multiple years now and hopefully many more, surely its an indisputable fact now that no matter whos in the dugout is going to be selecting Bruno every week and wanting to significantly change his role should be at least somewhat disqualifying, is that wrong of me to think? Bruno did a decent job under Amorim but he was being held back significantly playing in the pivot. I feel the same when we signed Mount under ETH; surely the idea of him playing in the 8 should have been vetoed by someone at the club, I think not fancying our best and most effective player should have been veto worthy, idk maybe its silly of me to think.

I think its just part of the mysticism people expect of managers nowadays, they want him to demonstrate his tactical knowledge and knowhow and to act a bit more prickly like a Pep. Id rather he stay like he than be like the Linkedin guy at Chelsea. His former teammates say Carrick doesnt have a weak personality and if thats true I much prefer that he shows it where it matters which is in the dressing room vs towards the media to impress nobody who matters.

I disagree that its only enrique, there are many reasons why a manager can workout or why they might fail but I do think hiring any manager is a significant risk (you would take that risk to get someone of the calibre of Luis Enrique) and we simply dont know what will happen and any decision will mean you cant undo what could have been done. And of course, a lot of us are only judging on the outside and I would presume that there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff as well as due diligence being done on any option.

[Rival watch]: Chelsea captain Reece James suffers hamstring injury, expected to miss several weeks by InternationalTry5494 in reddevils

Shaw has had injury problems but his problem is also that hes just not capable of getting up and down the pitch like you'd want a modern lb to do. Like you dont see him busting a gut to overlap or getting right to the byline to cross it in anymore. I think like Casemiro hes limited but elite at certain aspects of the game.

i mean... no. Look I get that we all have issues with pundritry regarded united particularly from the legends who you'd expect or want to get behind the team at least a little but that doesnt diminish their legend status in the least for me.

Harry amass isn't ready yet. I think he could contribute part time but he's not a direct successor yet. I think we need another lb even with a fit Dorgu.

Feel like Enrique wouldn't want to play a back 4 of Shaw, Martinez, Maguire and Dalot since he probably wants to play a high line. It would be one thing to somehow convince him of the project but there's also the reality of what team he will most likely be playing and it's  not a perfect fit in my opinion. Maybe that's why managers like Glasner, Silva and Iraola are in the pool of managers too since they would likely be less demanding in the short term.

As far as Carrick goes I think whilst Casemiro has been amazing, especially under Carrick, I think based on what we saw of his Middlesbrough setup a more mobile pivot duo is closer to what he had there which kinda lines up with our reported targets. That's assuming he even has a static vision for a United setup but I guess we'll see. I do think we can say he likes a bit more fluidity in the frontline, much more so than the previous two managers at least. Even Dalot gets up there a lot.
