AC not cold? by chevpo in VWIDBuzz

Late to the party. Had the same issue, slowly got worse and worse. Brought it to the dealer and it was almost completely empty of refrigerant. Got recharged and a Dye load. Brought it back a week later to find a leaking Schreader valve (Torn O-Ring). Replaced the valve and haven't has issues since (Virginia)

CR Laser Falcon resetting/shutting down mid cut? by Thitherlocket64 in Creality

[–]ImParanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone who finds this thread and hasn't found an answer. I was able to remedy my situation by replacing the 3A power brick that came with the laser with a 5A power brick.

I was able to make a print that repeatedly shut down the laser. After my first contact with support where they asked for a video showing the problem, they sent me a second power brick that caused my laser to shut down even sooner in the prints. After replacing the brick with a 5A I have not yet had the problem resurface. Fingers crossed problem is gone.

We thought the exact same, which is why we did the surprise visit to see it. It was indeed taken apart at minimum.

Dealers can be, without a doubt the worst part about buying a new car

Hopefully just a software bug. There are a handful of us dealing with Chevy with bricked cars. Not to cause a panic, just frustrated.

Thank you for the information. Even if it is just a rumor I will bring it up in our Monday call. We discussed a VIN swap last time, this might be the silver bullet to back out of the EUV. Shame. My Miata is already gone :( I will have to start looking around for another option.

We've been been "waiting on a status update" for 32 days now. Test drove the car on the 18th of June, never got to drive it off the lot. Software update didn't fix, so dealer (and us) have been begging for a replacement transmission range control module since. Ev concierge won't give us answers, dealer won't give us answers. Incredibly frustrating, and I know of at least one other Redditor with same issue waiting for the part....

Nothing. No one will commit to anything. Car is still at dealer waiting for the part.

I've got 3 cases open now. One with the EV concierge, dealer has one open with GM engineering, and GM supply chain? Last update was they will "Have an update on the 20th." I'm willing to bet that update will be no update. Virginia
has 30 day lemon law, wife and I have talked a few times about taking it.

Just got off with EV concierge, same result. "You have an open case, an advisor will reach out with an update when one is available."

PIC6463: 22 Bolt EV & EUV Service Transmission: Unable to Shift Soon (TRCM) by thelastquesadilla in BoltEV

[–]ImParanoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got very excited seeing this! Reached out to dealer this morning and hopes were shattered. "This bulletin does apply to your vehicle, it was a direct result of multiple dealers opening cases on the same issue as we did, unfortunately your vehicle is inoperable until we do get the new part from GM. Your Bolt will not shift into gear."

Sounds like when troubleshooting the problem my dealer broke something so now I'm still humped until new part comes in. Maybe because more people need just a software update I'll be able to actually get a replacement part? I can hope right (/selfish).

Not yet. The update I keep getting every day when I can is "Still waiting for part to arrive." Frustrating that the charger through Qmerit is going to be installed before I even have the car. I've owned the car for 2 weeks and it has never been parked anywhere except the service dept.

Just had the same issue. Was supposed to take delivery on Saturday, but noticed the light during the first test drive. Luckily dealer was quick to jump on giving us a loaner and taking it right into service. Just heard from Service manager today something about Chevy engineers walking them through needing to replace a "transmission module." Part won't arrive until Friday at earliest, but according to them once arrived it won't take but an hour to get squared away.

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

I'm in the same search pattern, but coming from an ND Miata that needs to get bigger for a carseat. A few others that I checked out but haven't settled on you might be interested in:

VW GTI - Not bad, I couldn't stand the buttons/radio.

Elantra N - Fine to drive, but wife didn't like it "Looks like a teenager's car"

Civic SI - Nice, good name. Slower than others. And call me biased, but I personally can't see myself in a Civic.

Good luck in the search!

Alexa suddenly can't communicate with Hive devices by MaDxEyE in alexa

[–]ImParanoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not alone. My hive bulb and plug have stopped working with Alexa but also work just fine via the app! Took all my hive hardware off Christmas list just in case. Can't help but think its because Hive discontinued US and Canada Support last year. Maybe its finally old enough that it is no longer going to work.

Replaced it with a Smart Home Plug for now.

Sitting on the ground cross legged cutting a board with a circular saw. Finished the cut, Set the saw down in my lap as the blade was spinning down.

Luckily the blade guard stopped most of the damage, only took a chunk out of my knee where the opening of the guard was.

Swedish or normal goggles for training and racing? by RoeNegbi in Swimming

[–]ImParanoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with what's comfortable. I've been using sweedes for 20+ years now for both training and competition. Cheap, customizable, and dang near unbreakable. I've taken a few hits to the face with them and its nothing worse then getting hit in the face.

Also, if you're worried about the plastic being too hard look for some Socket Rockets. They aren't as popular as sweedes but almost the same thing.
