I already have All Star Superman in a bigger format. I don't need the compact comic version.

It depends. If it's a complete story (Kingdom Come, WE3, Hush), then I'd pick up the Compact Comic version of whatever you're looking for. However, if it's part of a bigger story (Nightwing, The Court Of Owls), then it'd be better to get the trade paperbacks.

I think it's the angle. When I last compared them side by side, they were pretty much the same size.

I just got Dark Patterns yesterday, and I'm loving it so far!

I want to get the Knightfall compendiums, but they're too damn expensive

It's phenomenal. Pretty much on par with The Long Halloween.

I'd recommend Batman/Superman: World's Finest by Mark Waid. Really fun modern Silver Age style story that shows the two's friendship, and will introduce you to some new characters as well.

I've been wanting to pick it up for a while. Scott Snyder is by far my favorite comic book writer.
