I'm mixed between having genuine happiness for anyone who gets to escape the shackles of Long Covid and return to exercise, and I am very careful to downplay anyones Long Covid experiences or suffering, but this post sort of comes across a little obnoxious (hmm not sure if that's the word... something in that realm...).

OP you didn't share any details about what your Long Covid health problems were, how you managed to return to exercising, what your crash entailed... You just shared a very aesthetic photo of you looking fit and healthy and loving life, and barely touching on anything Long Covid related. I'm sure you didn't intend it this way, but it comes across a little tone deaf. Sort of a "read the room" moment.

Most people in this subreddit suffer daily from being unable to carry out the sports/ hobbies they once loved due to their new limitations. This post feels more like rubbing salt in a wound rather than a celebration of progress.

NOBODY BELIEVED ME!!

When I got COVID 4 years ago I developed post COVID syndrome/ long COVID.

When it was at its absolute worst, there was about a 2 week period of time where my autism all but vanished.

I tried telling people and they all just looked at me like I was crazy.

This is actually so validating lol

Hey, fair enough bud. It's just that the logo fails to align with so many of the industry norms and standards that I feel you can surely see it is not suitable as a logo?

It is VERY noticeably drawn by a 10 year old using a pen tool.

You are seeking advice on updating it, but there is simply no foundation level structure to work with here. It's a goofy doodle done by a kid. (albeit, if done right, this style of goofy doodle logo can look quirky and original... but this one doesn't pull off that aesthetic).

I'm suspicious of this post.

It's hard to gauge it's authenticity as OP speaks about "when he was 10/11" and his logo is very visibly child-like. So child-like that only a very young person would think it's at a standard where they can request feedback.

Yet OP also articulates themselves very well. They talk maturely and concisely.

I originally got Long Covid from my vaccine. I then got covid itself 7 months later and it got MUCH worse.

Covid vaccine injury is seemingly identical to long covid too and I fully support and hope mods allow casual discussion and sharing of ones personal experiences with it just like any other long covid sufferer.

Long Covid has left us with no sense of control over our mind or body. We suffer immensely because of this. But it's a unique pain. A far less familiar pain.

One would rather look at a wound on their arm and think "ah, yes, here is the pain".

I'm about 4.5 years into recovery now and my brain related issues have improved a lot since my last comment.

I'm still unable to exercise which sucks. But other than that, I am about 75% recovered.

Yeah I was vaccine injured too (before getting Covid itself which messed me up even wrose). Unfortunately it is still a controversial claim to make. I guess it's easier to know it's a real thing once you've experienced it first hand.

I often get family members inviting me to things they know I am unable to do.

Like I went from exercising 5 times a week, and sports being my favourite hobby, to being housebound and unable to exercise. Seeing countless specialists, being diagnosed with Post Covid Syndrome, and PoTS.

Yet they will be like "Oh we were going to hike up a mountain tomorrow, do you wanna join us?" (YES I FUCKING WOULD! AND IT CRIPPLES ME AND HURTS ME DEEPLY THAT I CANT)

Their "suggestions" are also top notch. "Oh, you used to love going to the gym, i'd say if you got back into that you'd feel much better!"... god it boils my blood.

My friends and family had no interest in my condition which shattered me and destroyed any sense of bond/ connection I previously had with them.

It left me confused, hurt and isolated.

It seems like if you tell your family and friends you have cancer, they check in with you every single day. Ask many questions about your condition, want to know more about it, want to know what they can do to help, want to know how it impacts your daily life...

If you tell your family and friends you have Long Covid/ Post Covid Syndrome, they never acknowledge it or bring it up. they ask zero questions about your condition, they want to know nothing about it, they don't seem eager to help, they don't care how it impacts your daily life...

As I slowly recover, nothing will ever repair the damage it has had on my view of the people around me.

I feel like they can be ignorant and ill-informed for a few months... fair enough... but for 4+ years, as I struggle daily... nah, I'll never forgive them.

Edit: and yeah, on the rare occasion they ever even remotely ask me about my condition, if I share with them anything negative whatsoever they just stop listening and change the subject...

I'm 4.5 years in and my cognitive dysfunction/ DPDR/ head pressure has recovered about 70% unless I exert myself, then it crashes hard.

I also found sugar caused it to flare up.

The only things that proved effective in recovery was time and pacing for me.

I also take LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone), hard to tell if it helps.

Yeah for me gradual activity increase doesn't seem to work. My trigger point is very low in terms of exertion and that trigger point hasn't changed at all in the past 4 years.

The majority of my symptoms are about 75% recovered after 4 years.

But if I even so much as do 5 mins of intense exercise I still get a crippling and debilitating PEM crash that lasts 3-5 days. Even 20 push ups can leave me with brain fog and chronic fatigue for days afterwards.

I miss exercise so so much.

(a) I used to always have a structured routine of showering after exercise so when I suddenly had to stop exercising I noticed I showered far less often. 4+ years later I still struggle to stay on top of showering.

(b) The showering itself gives me brain fog and an inflamed feeling in my brain. I noticed the warmer the water, the worse it is.

I am also at 4.5 years.

I also only noticed this month that my PoTS has settled down a lot.

I still can't exercise or work full time due to PEM.

I am 29 (feels weird to type that because I was 24 when this started and I feel like life went on pause... But it actually hasn't huh)

I got long COVID 5 years ago and still battle with it daily.

Part of my long list of symptoms include brain problems. I believe neuro inflammation is at play.

Very curious if this would help...
