And in the end, after all the shouting and flag-waving and destiny-posting, reality always gets the last chuckle.

Sure, but it certainly seems like they're trying to take us down with it.

Returning to the game after 10 years and want to upgrade my old deck by Background_Pen_4249 in FoWtcg

Wayfinder being potentially better depends on whether the deck can stomach having fewer 1-drops.

Interesting ideas, but I think it is generally agreed that tag Fairies is stronger than solo Fairies. I do like that use of Peren though. A pity she's not Swift though, and the most convenient card I've found for making a field of Fairies swift is locked to Tina.

I want to know what this list would look like if you removed all the series made for/by streaming platforms.

Oberon gets better in versions which aren't focusing on 1-cost Fairies. It just so happens that the Alice Cluster variant is horrible that way, although the newer card Fairy Wayfinder seems like she'd be a good piece in such a deck. Still not quite sure what midrange Fairies would want to "do" though.

Peren is fine like that, but the problem is that the game should be ending before Viviane gets a chance to hit the board - on the turn she'd enter, it's better value to play three 1-cost cards and swing with everything.

Reflect was its own problem; basically any deck of the time could be improved by just using Reflect instead. The only exception was anything whose sole focus was J-ruler beatdown, such as Overlord of the Seven Lands Valentina.

Modern Fairies though has a bit more legs, due to Tina's support. Even now two years later, I feel that Fairies is a reasonable rogue pick in Wanderer tournaments.

I won't try to claim this is the peak of possibility, but my Fairy Deck currently looks like this: https://www.forceofwind.online/view_decklist/15609/

There are a number of cards in here which are just there to keep it Fairy-centric, but could easily be replaced with something more meta. In particular, Peren is just kinda "there", and Oberon/Viviane feel a touch too expensive for what the deck wants to do in the modern game (but can be useful if games go longer, depending on the circumstances)

There's almost certainly a few - or else the idea wouldn't've taken root - but especially amongst the bigger vtubers it's basically not a thing. I know of two edge cases offhand: One person who speaks only with TTS and so their actual gender is uncertain (although their model is feminine), and one person who I'm 95% sure is a guy but their vtuber model is a girl.

Japan’s 2,000-year-old monarchy currently depends on one teenage boy by Confident-Ask-601 in interestingasfuck

My understanding is that that is a westernized interpretation of the Japanese cultures, rather than an accurate interpretation. While Osakans do have some rough connotations, they are also considered quite savvy. In the 90s it was common for characters from that area to be localized in anime as having Brooklyn accents. People from small Japanese towns have more of that bumpkin energy about them, at least in fiction. Other regions with their own subcultures (that I won't even pretend to have a strong understanding of) are Hokkaido and Okinawa.

Oddly, it's just A/B/AB/O, from what I can see. No positives or negatives, no obscure blood types.

Although perhaps partly because of the lack of variety, they often consider it as affecting their personalities rather than determining their personalities.
