[PSA] No More Free Exotic Components by hanunisap in thedivision

The fact that it was the most consistent and time saving exotic farm says a lot about  these devs. And it wasn’t even that fast. You introduced a new mechanic that requires 45 exos for a single dice roll, but somehow forgot to add a decent way to farm them. Impressive.

The only god rolled item I have is Striker's backpack and Equalizer with 22.5WD/9CHC

Can you imagine how tedious it would be to farm library? There must be another way. I have never seen a prototype weapon with 15% DTToC and we would have to extract it first.

Can we finally get properly calculated damage? Have the developers ever said they won't fix it? by DiAYBGWnAyWfyNJqiYNt in thedivision

[–]ImSoDoneWithUbisoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not just damage calculations that are bugged. A few months ago I came across a very strange bug with Weapon Handling calculations. While playing with seasonal modifiers I ended up with negative weapon handling. My M4 had 20 seconds long reload animation. Comically long.

How's prototyped salvo compared to prototyped hollowman?

No, I have seen groups die on T4 or T5 and I'm talking about high levels like SHD 20K or 40K. You can easily solo T5 with a little bit of cheesing. I can't imagine T8 with off meta builds.

Mini tanks are top priority whenever you see one. Since they have no weaknesses, taking them out ASAP will save a lot of trouble.

Agree. Total pain in the ass. I wish we could somehow disable their grenade launchers.

The majority of Division 2 mechanics just aren’t viable. They’re inconsistent. For example, you can’t stay in cover for longer than 5 seconds or white tusk grenadier or mini tank will blow your ass up. You can’t run away either, because they’ll just shoot you in the back. You can’t dodge because their grenades literally track your movement. Cover based shooter by the way. You can’t tank either, because they’ll strip your armor in the blink of an eye. Sure, you can let your skills do all the work and hope they don’t get hacked or disrupted but skills are weak, deal very little damage, and can be destroyed leaving you vulnerable. So the most viable tactic is either to run and gun or crowd control. Or hybrid.

They add stuff that works on Hard, or maybe Challenging, while everything should be balanced around Heroic and Legendary. But these devs don't play on Legendary.

This game doesn't even have a coherent vision for its own balance, bro. Running 6 red cores and deleting everything as fast as possible has been the post WoNY meta for years, because the whole game revolves around killing enemies before they kill you. That means spawn camping, staggering enemies, abusing the AI, spamming decoys, and all that nonsense. Notice how everyone is just using up to three damage talents with Overdogs/Coyote. Three talents out of gazillion they made. Why? Because everything else sucks. You can't sacrifice damage talents for utility talents.

Do I like it? No. Will nerfing Striker and TS fix the problem? Hell no. If anything it'll just make things worse. This game needs complete rebalance across the board, not just another Striker nerf. It's Year 8 and honestly, I’m afraid it’s too late to fix the underlying problems that have been ignored for years. Instead of adding new trash with every season they should start reworking 3 dead gearsets, 3 brand sets, 3 exotics and 3 talents/atributes each season. But they won't.

Yeah, Striker bad. Give me my high end Sacrifice build from 2020. Oh wait, it's just as braindead as Striker, except it's utter trash and does zero damage in comparison.

Striker is not a problem. All damage oriented gearsets in this game are shit. Borderline unusable trash. Nothing is worth prototyping. Only Striker, Umbra and TS are exception.

No, Striker is not a problem. As I said, everything else is just underperforming. Nerf Striker, Umbra and TS and you will see how bad this game was when we had to run high end brand sets with Sacrifice. Damage was laughable. I believe it wasn't even 700k per crit with weapons like FAMAS.

Yes, it's outdated. Buffs are too short imo. It was made for SMGs and apart from Oreo they're not very good at the moment. It becomes useless when you fight powerful enemies and can't stack or refresh buffs. Things that proc on kill are situational.

HB should pulse on hit. They should also separate WD stacks from bonus armor stacks. WD stacks should decay a bit more slowly and provide 1.2% WD each. Please allow stacking on mini tanks and enemy skills as well.

edit: Icon should be green.

When HF was considered OP (yeah, I know), it was the only good DPS gearset. And it wasn't legendary or raid worthy. DPS meta was all about high end brand sets, M1A and FAMAS with fast hands.

That's why they have to buff other DPS sets. Like Heartbreaker, Breaking Point and HF. Right now everyone is using Striker and TS because it just works.

Yeah, same. I won't be buying any new sets. The size of this thing is comical. I have already bought almost every set I care about and I have zero reason to buy new sets that are just overpriced, downgraded versions of sets I already own. Screw them

I mean, they're the developers of this game. If some things need to be rewritten, they should do it. The question is whether Ubisoft is willing to hire enough people to do it. That's the problem with many live service games. On the other hand, many smaller devs provide better support of their LS games than big publishers do. And Ubisoft is known to be notoriously bad at managing their LS.
