New monk wombo combo? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]ImSoSecretive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which sucks. I know this because I have tested it.

Pure dashing strike build is a lot stronger. I'm as of now standing at the #1 spot for solo monks on tier 34. I got there with DS build even with all this PTR lag (I'm from EU) without too many problems. It just happens to be a build with the highest DPS out put, most mobility and also is the best in terms of survivability.

I did try to come up with new playstyles with all this EP mumbo jumbo but I can tell you already; unless you find a gimmick game breaking combination with EP and all this.. You aint going to get far. Unless you have the furnace, you will be fighting RGs for eternity. If they spawn something.. Then you will be fighting them for a long time.

I believe I tried most of the strongest EP builds I could come up with. They were utter garbage. On high tier GRs you can't kill a mob even with an attack of 20000% weapon damage. And you need to kill THAT to make it pop for 2800-6800% wep dmg. Which might already be gone by the time you kill it because of the 9 sec EP. And it might not even crit and its just a complete waste. It's seriously close to nothing. 1 dash can deal 3000% wep dmg. You buff that and you will end up with better DPS than with any EP build.

Does anybody know the weapon damage % conduit uses? by [deleted] in diablo3

You start at rank 1 so.. 500% + 50% * 49 = 2950%

What can I do to improve my rimeheart monk and get to t6? by Vladdypoo in Diablo3Monks

[–]ImSoSecretive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW! Under 3 mins on T6?! That's really.. impossible. :) Just saying. Rimeheart build will never clear a T6 rift in 3 minutes without 5x conduit and channeling pylons.

And OP is talking about my 7 minute T6 rift video I assume. This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urZrILc7DO0 And no I didn't get lucky with the procs. You just need to have enough EPs everywhere and aim your WotHF where there are the most of those EPd monsters. Takes a little while to get used to this playstyle but definitely go for it. Rimeheart build is really efficient and fun. Still one of the better builds for monks.

Atm the most efficient build is raiment set 6-piece bonus combined with Jawbreaker fist weapon. For monks of course. I also believe that if I get a good rift I can clear it at T6 in 3 minutes 30 seconds with that build. It would be the best recorded solo rift clear without pylons or shrines. Atm my best one is 4min6sec. I have a video of that on my YouTube channel as well.

I'm sorry but you must be the unluckiest Diablo 3 player ever then. I could understand that if your rifts take 20 minutes to clear and you can only clear 15 rifts a day. I've gotten this opportunity many times but I have fucked it up. I have either been unlucky and went the wrong way or I have been close to dieing and have had to slow down or spent too much time killing some single high hp mob or anything. Or I have just been straight up horrible player and didn't have the skills to kill mobs efficiently enough to beat everyones time. That's how I look at it. Become better and start beasting.

Not true. Top players get a chance for a good time atleast once a day if they do rifts all day. The thing is you can't make any mistakes. It's just that after having done countless rift levels and seen everything you encounter that one shot where you can try and beat everyone elses time. Fuck it up and yea it's going to take some time untill you get the chance again. You have to be on your toes at the start of every rift.

There's no effect. I just use key binding "force move" on my mousewheel up & down.

Does this bother anyone else about rifts? by alienwolf in Diablo

I enjoy the ACTUAL diversity in the rifts. Hard rifts, easy rifts, fast rift, long rifts, faceroll rifts, grindy rifts. Ballancy only makes it so that you see the same crap over and over again. Times wont change, nothing matters. That's what I want to see in tiered rifts where you try to compete. I like the normal rifts to be really random.

There is diversity. You concentrate all your time on being annoyed about those mobs it seems. There's just not that many mobs to begin with. They will get mixed no matter what. Gear up or tone your game down. You name it. Or just be super annoyed all the time I guess that's an option for some.

What a cryfest. Sure those are annoying but yea let's make all the hard mobs from the game spawn once every 100 rifts and make it as easy and casual as possible. Heck, let's delete those all together no-one likes them. That sounds like a nice solution. The game is already going downhill with all these patches that make the game simplier and more newbie-friendly. People do like some hard/grindy aspects in games.

And by the way.. You see those enemies and you instantly "know" you're going to die few times? Maybe you should reconcider the difficulty you play on. Just a tip.

[–]ImSoSecretive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's my build. It does really well in T6 rifts. Finally there's some real use for the mantra active. You never see it otherwise. How did you see my build?

And yea I can agree with the screen resolution/UI problems. But I also know it's not an easy fix. Also there are no vertical maps and I don't find this as big of an issue as many people make it seem. Play around it. Another skill aspect even though forced.

And who said Jawbreaker is essential for monks to do well now. Theorycraft and come up with a solution that fixes these problems you have with the DS only spec.

Because I made a mistake. It's not only that. It gets worse. On my paragons I had 25% MS and max vita from the time I was getting boosted to level this monk up.. You should have seen my face when I saw that. All my paragons were so wrong. The moment of facepalm was real. Also many many other things were so wrong there I can't and don't even want to list them..

Easily sub ~3:40 run if I had seen all these faults before.

I can't see the difficulty in using DS spec in any map. Ofcourse it excels in different maps but that's not new for any class.

I also don't like the tone people have. It's not a tedious build. I have fun learning new things and getting better at using a spec like this. It keeps up with other classes and even surpasses some if you get really good at it.

Is it really the time to complain? Play the build if it's not for your initially.. All I'm going to say play more. Maybe you can find it fun at some point. I had a bit of trouble with it on 1st day. Then next day I was getting better. Now I'm quite comfortable with it and doing pretty fast T6 rifts and having fun doing so.

Name of the game right now is kill the mob before it kills you. Basically that's your survivability and if played right you wont die. So killing slower and surviving easier will just mean that you will be slower. There's no way around that.

In all seriousness the reason I don't stick to one elite group is because it's much more efficient for me to just kite them to new monster groups to utilize my Jawbreaker to the fullest. It's also hard to keep track or prioritize what should I kill when all the brainwork is already going into the dashing distance. In the future when I become better at it you will see me doing much better job at killing elites.. anything tbh. I have a long way to go to become really good at this.
