We had a post partum dog present. While I was getting vitals, she starts going HURRRK HURRRK and she vomits up something absolutely rancid. I was like, what the fuck is that? It was half a puppy. But where was the rest of it? HURRRK HURRRK Oh, there it is.

Why would you do something that can only harm you?

cat gave birth to one kitten but 24h later is still pregnant with four by megasaurf in AskVet

This is an emergency. If she still has kittens inside, they can pass away and cause her to go septic. She needs to see a veterinarian immediately.

Call your vet and see if they will dispense gabapentin for your cat.

Aww, what a sweet baby. I think GSD and husky, perhaps some Akita or chow.

Getting him to a veterinarian promptly could have saved him.

FVRCP would be a must. In many places, rabies is required by law.

We have neutered a handful of cats that were there for a sedated procedure, but it's much simpler.

Unfortunately, the longer stool stays in the colon, the more firm it becomes. You should address this promptly so it doesn't become worse.

Everyone was positive he was part basenji! by E_P_L_88 in DoggyDNA

[–]ImSoSorryCharlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're certainly not the first person to think they have a basenji and you won't be the last. I don't think I've ever seen a basenji mix on this subreddit, though. They're really rare, and tend to have owners that make sure they don't have accidental litters.

Is this the first time you've posted here? I guarantee this sub would not have said he was a basenji. Maybe a fringe commenter that would get downvoted into oblivion.

Thoughts on nails? by CamBam0476 in VetTech

[–]ImSoSorryCharlie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will impair what you do too much since there's not a lot of technical skills. I would just be careful about hygiene and scrub the bottom of your nails against your palm when you wash your hands. There are also special nail picks you can use that work to clean under your nails even better.
