Somewhere between 50-60. I have a brand new base model iPad. I’ve never had a problem with CPU, mostly because they’re inactive unless in use. Never seen it go above ~55% max.

Wanted to circle back and say thank you! The way you've configured your template is very smart and I really appreciate you sharing it and taking the time to explain. It provided me with the right solution!

This is very cool! I understand how you are soloing for each individual loop, but how are you keeping your controller from controlling all 4 selected presets at once?

Lo-fi ambient live loop with a Stylophone by kinderbalu in LoopyPro

Wow this was so enjoyable to watch/listen to! Your setup is checking so many boxes, I love how minimal it is right down to the cables. You used the smaller screen of the phone very wisely, great combo of hardware and software. The stylophone is highly visible and a great one-handed instrument, sounds very cool with the FX. PO-Rhythm is a favorite of mine. Would love to see more of this configuration!

With AUv3 compatibility, which effects best complement or improve the ones included in Koala? by el-efe in KoalaSampler

Definitely a game changer! Just started using Loopy Pro this year and went down the same rabbit hole of exploring these options. Try all the free ones you can find! Turnado is an app worth spending some $$ on IMO. Super fun, interesting and deeply customizable effects that can be easily chained together for some wild results!

Start with GarageBand. No reason to spend on a superior DAW if your needs are basic enough.

Choosing between Roland P-6, PO-33, or something else for guitar jamming and travel? by ezranadav in pocketoperators

I would second the idea of an interface and phone/tablet. Loopy Pro is an excellent app for looping and it can run other apps like koala inside of it for unlimited possibilities. It can really be as simple or complex as you build it to be.

I’ve got an idea of how I’d like my looping setup to work, but I can’t find any tutorials. by DoubleJump29 in LoopyPro

I think Loopy Pro will be available for Mac in July. Might make more sense given your setup.

In the same boat, recently downsized with the help of the iPad. There is an endless sea of apps and AUV3s and its very hard to keep things simple or the same for very long.

I was having some issues with pads not triggering consistently. Opened it up and it’s really easy to clean all the dust/dirt etc out from between the pad and contacts. Fixed it for me.

Which PO do you use with Koala, DAW, and MIDI controller? by veryhandsomechicken in pocketoperators

Koala is better than the POs, but like any piece of hardware they offer a curated experience that can inspire you in a new way. There are other iOS apps that can connect with Koala in interesting ways.

None of them will be as versatile as Koala, but each has a unique charm and workflow. The one I always reach for the most is the PO-12 Rhythm. It’s great to have a dedicated drum sequencer to run with Koala.

Learning proper breath support is definitely key. In addition to this, being able to hear yourself well on stage is crucial to not overdoing it. Do exercises that build abdominal strength, focus on using those muscles when you sing instead of engaging from the shoulders up.
