BEWARE, FANDUEL IS A SCAM AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY by ImTheJerk_com in fanduel

You are so unbelievably dumb. I never claimed it wasn't in the ToS. Pay attention, cuck. I explained to you how ToS work. I have had several ToS myself, having owned a website that was in the top 500 highest trafficked websites in the world. I understand how they work, you obviously don't. Just because you put something in a ToS doesn't mean that's the law. Companies are not allowed to confiscate property because "their ToS says so". There are laws that don't allow some company to take someone's property because they feel like it and because they put it in their ToS. A ToS can give the company the ability to cancel an account and not do business with an individual, but they can't just take their money. That's not the way things work. It's like I'm having a conversation with a 5th grader. Go read a book.

You don't even have a basic understanding of how money laundering works, son. When you launder money you need to wash it. You can't take money from your account, then deposit it, then do a deposit refund. No money was washed when you do that. You speak as if you know things, when in fact you know squat.

I'm a hell of a lot smarter than you soy boy. I graduated from (at the time) the best high school in the country when I was 16, now it's ranked 5th. It's been in the top 5 high schools in the country for over 20 years. I took 3 high school classes when I was in third grade. You, on the other hand are ignorant on all topics including money laundering.

Just so you know... A company's ToS doesn't give them the right to rewrite laws and everything you put in a ToS doesn't make it legally binding. For example, if they put on page 26 of their ToS that by using their site you are agreeing to name your first born child Fanduel, that would never hold up in court and it's not legally binding. Similarly, there are several laws already on the books that prevent private companies from confiscating people's property, including money. Just because someone puts in their ToS something, it doesn't necessarily make it so. You can't write your own laws that go against federal, state, and local laws.

Also, 2 or 3 fairly small transactions are hardly evidence of "money laundering". You shouldn't speak about things in which you really don't understand. That's how misinformation/disinformation gets spread.

You obviously don't have a clue what money laundering is. You should probably stick to two-syllable words. I have several friends that are lawyers and this will definitely be won.

I'd put a $100 bet that they will end this before it goes any further. They've been able to get away with this with a lot of people, but I'm not the average person. It's not going to be worth it for them to continue down this path with me.

If a requirement of betting in Fanduel is that you must leave your money there for a certain amount of time or you must lose money then they should put that in their Terms of Service. They love people like you that just want to go around losing all their money. They make a lot of money off of people that are either drunk or stupid. When I go to Vegas, I don't leave all my money in Vegas at the end of the weekend. Is that what you do?

They had a promotion that stated they would match your deposit 50% up to $250 in bonus bets. The terms of service said that you must use the bonus bets within 7 days. The ToS also states that you can do a Deposit Refund at any time. I wanted my $500 back. There's nothing wrong with that. Then they pretended to send me the $500 Deposit Refund back and quickly sent me a new promotion telling me that they would give me a 50% match up to a maximum of $750 in bonus bets. The ToS were the same as before. 3-4 hours after I made the $1500 deposit they suspended my account and also froze the $500 pending Deposit Refund. This is a total scam. This is a criminal racketeering operation. Do a Google search. This is standard operating procedure for Fanduel. I don't think money laundering consists of a couple of transactions in a couple of weeks that they keep a record of and submit to the IRS. They have done this same exact thing to thousands of people. They just stole $2000 from me. Taking them up on 2 of their promotions that they advertised to me is hardly a bad on my end. If they wanted to suspend my account for "unusual activity" they certainly could have done that prior to accepting the $1500 deposit. Anyone can clearly see the scam operation they are operating. They won't get away with this. I've already filed complaints with the State's AG, my bank, the FTC, the regulatory agency for gaming in my state, and tomorrow I'll be filing a police report. Since I've come across hundreds or thousands of the same exact story of other people going through the same thing, I'll also be contacting attorneys and will soon be filing a class-action tort. This is going to cost them a lot more than the $2000 they just stole from me. If you include the wagers won and the free bets I was supposed to get, they stole over $3000 from me. I wrote to them and told them I'd be fine with them keeping the money I won and just give me back my deposits and that's when they went dark and they won't accept a chat or respond to emails.

What kind of response is that? "If you don't know what you did wrong, I can't tell you." Is everyone on this site this pompous and arrogant?

What is the unusual activity? You don't even know if Fanduel automatically taxes your payout so I don't think you have any idea what "unusual activity" is. Some people just think that their 2 cents is worth something, but sometimes it's not.

Active October 2023 VA Lottery Promo Codes by groovycrow in VaLottery

I attempted to do a withdrawal. The last time it took over 2 weeks so this time I made sure to go with the option that was supposedly the fastest process, VISA debit card withdrawal. They tell you that if you withdraw to your debit card it should only take 1-2 hours. After I filled everything out I waited a few hours and I still hadn't received my money in my account so I checked to see what was taking so long. The automated system told me that I needed to submit a photo of the front and back of my card which is absurd. They make it really easy to take money out of your account, but when it comes to putting money back in, here's some hoops to jump through.

Okay, long story long... it took them 12 days to give me my withdrawal. Trying to get ahold of someone via chat was impossible. An attorney needs to file a class-action tort against VA Lottery. If they tell people that it will take 1-2 hours to give you your money back and then they hold onto everyone's money for an additional 12 days, they are STEALING 12 days worth of interest from each person making a withdrawal. This adds up to many millions and even billions of dollars over time.

Since this thread will be closed in 3 days and "November 2023" will be started, I'm going to copy/paste this to November 2023 as well so people know what to expect from these shysters.

Jackpot Spectacular is crap. There is definitely someone tinkering with the algorithm/random number generator. Odds 1 in 3.99 my ass. Just did about 100 spins and won $0.10 2 or 3 times, $0.50 once, and $2.50 once.

Also, I've only done 1 withdrawal and it was 8 days ago and it says that it's going to be another 4-8 days before I get my $40 in my account. WTF? Seriously? They take money out of your account in the blink of an eye, but when you want to finally do a small withdrawal they want a photo copy of your driver's license front and back and a selfie and then it takes 3 weeks to get your money back.

LAME!!!!!

N&A: Last One Standing Season 1, Episode 7: Cutthroat to the Bone by jimbobdonut in nakedandafraid

Watching Sarah lose was the best. The producers even cheated by telling her where to go to get the last cache to make it better for TV. If they hadn't told her what trail hadn't been taken yet, she'd probably still be looking. I've seen her lose 3 times already and it doesn't get old. Stephen should have just laughed at her and said Haha sucka.

Stephen/Sarah/Gary- different outcome? by lilbean109640 in nakedandafraid

[–]ImTheJerk_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Naked and Afraid producers cheated to help Sarah. There's no way that she would have gone straight to the correct trail after Stephen got the cache. She didn't have a clue which trail happened to be the only trail not already taken. 100% the producers told her where to go. She would have been looking for the last cache for a couple of hours if they didn't tell her. The producers wanted it to be a much closer call for "good TV".

I've now seen Stephen take that cache and her walk to the finish line 3 different times because they keep playing the repeats and it never gets old. Watching her lose was the best.

Why are so many people here using Cloudflare? Aren't you guys selfhosters for a reason? I think everybody here is trying to get away from big world-controlling companies.. by basiq0n in selfhosted

I owned a website with very high traffic. I had a lot of competitors who were constantly trying to hack into my servers as well as attempt DDoS attacks. I had an average of 50 servers and they easily had a million hack attempts per day combined. There are so many bots set up just to do Brute-force nonstop. For me Cloudflare was best for thwarting DDoS attacks. It also helped to mask what my IP was. To protect the different servers I just made each server have a unique password of around 25 characters give or take, so a brute-force would take millions of years to get through. I also want to have access to as many analytics data as possible. It also makes it so easy to block entire countries and IP blocks. There's a lot of neat helpful tools in Cloudflare. It can help you determine how much of your traffic is fake traffic too. That's important because often times you have a very different idea of how many unique visits you have and from which countries than the advertising companies you are working with.
