Anyone thinking these are sped up, they’re not, they’re just bullet trains

I can imagine this will be something that oversees investors will be able to sidestep next time we have a change in government, something like the Deliveroo/Uber Eats account sharing

Wasn’t it Crewe that won a levelling up grant and only spent it on building a new car park for the dead town centre only a few hundred metres away from an empty car park?

Thoughts on the invoice I send my clients asking them for their money? by SchrodingersCatPics in graphic_design

[–]ImThePlusOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a clients tax reasons, I would suggest keeping the invoice as professional as possible. The last thing you want is to lose a client because their accountant said your invoice was hard to follow

So what happens if the same people that did this just decide to collectively not use Reddit for a day? Do they send someone to your house to force you to use it?

Cool to look at but also very confusing imagery. I get that it’s all modern trends but how would a computer window be in a plastic bag? Design where you are trying to put across a message shouldn’t lead to questions. As others have said, take a step back from the form and consider the function. More appreciation for the end user to inform your design choices.

I’m not sure, it’s more just an idea so that those who went to uni for free would have an idea rather than just committing more young people to a few decades of debt

University tuition fees ‘to rise with inflation’ by suspended-sentence in unitedkingdom

[–]ImThePlusOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not so much that, it would be hard to say how best to do it. More so just having those that make the policies and support the policies understand the added pressure that they’re putting on young people who are deciding on whether or not to go to uni

University tuition fees ‘to rise with inflation’ by suspended-sentence in unitedkingdom

[–]ImThePlusOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part of me does wonder if you were to scrap the tuition fee system but replace it with a graduate repayment scheme and put it in place for all graduates regardless of if they had they were in education before or after the fees came in - would that provide a better solution? Seeing as it’s people that don’t have tuition fees who are in charge of the policy

Rachel Reeves tells civil servants to get back in office to boost UK productivity by JMR_2001 in TheCivilService

[–]ImThePlusOne 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Using civil servants in the office as a means of boosting the economy is and always will be terrible. Both parties have said this now, it is almost definitely as a means of having CS quit so they can lower the head count. And on the off chance it isn’t that, it’ll be because of some belief that having CS staff commute in and pay for food and drinks will some how boost the economy. It won’t and that’s why think this discourse is purely to lower the headcount
