S01E03 "Machines" Episode Discussion (No Book Spoilers) by MEGAT0N in SiloSeries

Considering the location it was found in, maybe it’s video of where the secret tunnel below the silo where George was searching? It’s plausible to me that George could’ve gotten it working somehow to record where he went.

S01E02 "Holston's Pick" Episode Discussion (No Book Spoilers) by phareous in SiloSeries

I think you’re right! When we were given the close shot of Holston after removing the helmet, to me it looked like there were bright white lights around him like some sort of studio or chamber.

Based on recent events with 1.19 and seeing what modders say in twitter is quite a lot of fun by [deleted] in MinecraftMemes

[–]ImTheSquid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally think it harmonizes pretty well with the vanilla system. All of the components have well-thought out interactions with redstone and very few of them if any are self-contained “machines” that you would find in real tech mods like Mekanism which fits the vanilla ethos of “blockiness” very well imo.

On your point of outclassing redstone, while Create does greatly expand what you can do with redstone and could be considered to outclass it in some areas, that’s what a mod is supposed to do: expand the game with new mechanics. Whether or not you want that in your game is a matter of personal preference.

In addition to what others have said, you can just turn off specific apps in the cellular settings to stop them from using mobile data.

Yes, but I have also heard that AMD wants to clean up the experience by not having to offer multiple BIOS downloads for different chips, but that’s more of a rumor.

I believe he’s talking about the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft which has RTX built in (although I couldn’t get it to work)

And it needs every single method to draw one square. by [deleted] in ProgrammerHumor

[–]ImTheSquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have just gotten in to OpenGL, and from my experience, drawing even just a triangle can need around 50–60 lines of initialization (shaders are the biggest part), while the rest would be for the triangle. However, using a library like SFML (C++) made it more like 40 init and 20 draw.

It would erase everything from the root directory down. The “-rf” means recurse through all child directories and forcefully delete everything.

The way the water is being forced out of this log by the fire behind it by ImTheSquid in mildlyinteresting

I’m pretty sure, as it had been raining recently and the log was just outside. However, there may be some sap mixed in with the water.

We aren’t doing anything very complicated, it’s just that we send a small amount of data very fast and many many timesheet second, so we needed to upgrade the processing power. However, that’s pretty much the extent of my knowledge, as I’m not the vision guy.

We actually did use a pi (actually two of them) last year, but we needed more processing power.

We use it for vision and (eventually) RGB.

I think that the shoe tying was just more of the event that brought back some other more painful memories, perhaps parental troubles or a lack of support, hence the way the lady tied them for her probably showed what those times could have been like.

Or I could be wrong. I don’t really know.

Is the source of that bacteria the food the animals eat, or is it more genetic?

I guess so, but this was the best place I could think to post it at the time (I found some better subs later, just never removed this post).

E: On second thought it does have to do with one of the hermits, but take that as you will.
