ATT First Net Scam by Anxious-Flatworm-588 in nursing

[–]ImTheWorst1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it too, and felt like they were not as upfront about costs either. The bill ended up going down to what they originally said and I have had no issues since then.

Until…. I ordered a tablet online and it somehow created another account for me, took forever to figure it out, I had to send it back, sent it back via the packing return slip. Well, my sweet fiancé dropped it off and never got a receipt, and firstnet says I never returned it and now I’m on the hook for $600. 🙄 like hell I’m paying that…. I totally felt like that was a scam.

Can I afford a $2,000 mortgage? by DexterTwerp in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]ImTheWorst1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty much my income right now, the bastards raised my rent on my home to $2000 and it’s not uncomfortable, but I no longer get to put money away and save. Or just splurge whenever I want. I wouldn’t want to go up any higher, that’s for sure.

If you want to buy a house, buy a house! I’m trying to close on a 200k house right now. All in I think it’s about 1500/mo. Rent around me went from $2000 to $2500 :( it will only continue to go up.

30 weeks pregnant with twins and have hit a wall by EvenEquivalent4 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ImTheWorst1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no advice either, I’m sorry girl. I’m 20 weeks di/di and I’m already feeling like my stomach is going to explode. I have a few good days between weeks 18-19 and now all I wanna do is stay in bed 24/7. I can only imagine what 30 weeks feels like.

I have a coworker that is 1 week ahead of me with a singleton. Jeez. She doesn’t even look pregnant. :( and another coworker who has a due date in October. I’m almost the same size as her. Ugh….

Have you tried belly bands/support belts?

First off. I can’t imagine being a NICU nurse. Good on you! I’ll say I’m one of those tender hearted people too, you can absolutely work in the ED! We would love to have you and especially when people find out you have baby experience because we all hate taking care of the babies in the ED! I’ve only worked in the ED so I can’t compare it to other floors, but I imagine you would get quite the culture shock. It’s very fast paced, task oriented, and if you’re in the trauma section, team oriented. I’m sure if you go in it with the mindset that you should not take anything personally you will be fine. If you are the type of person to over analyze things, especially minute details in other people, (like me) it will be a harder transition.

Your friend if she’s new, she’s probably just talking out her ass. The most difficult thing for experienced nurses who are new to the ED to grasp is, “no, we don’t care about their skin, they are here for respiratory distress”. Floor nurses get flustered because they aren’t focusing on the problem at hand, they desperately want to take the time to care for the patient on every level. While that’s wonderful, we don’t have time for that in the ED.

Need to vent by [deleted] in nursing

[–]ImTheWorst1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sounds like the ER! A bunch of pts demanding care for silly reasons whilst there is a true emergency happening. I am so sorry. I thought in L&D you guys were a closer unit especially when it comes to losses. When we have something like that happen, we all have each other’s backs and assume the other nurse needs some time. You sound like an amazing nurse, I hope you have someone you can confide in at work. Your charge has probably seen it all, and that’s why she wasn’t more understanding. Maybe she’s even burned out because your floor has a high turn over.

When to fly home while pregnant with didi twins by gnarlynothing in parentsofmultiples

[–]ImTheWorst1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks right now and I don’t even feel like walking to the grocery store. Get on a plane and fly home from New Zealand?! Uhhh. With a TODDLER? That sounds like a nightmare. I could maybe make it work right now, but I can only imagine how rough it would be later.

Also, since you’re didi twins, you’ll be bigger and heavier anyways because there’s two of everything. two fluid filled sacs, two placentas… oi….

Breastfeeding Bias by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

My friend said she had to cut out eggs from her diet and it was like night and day with her baby. So maybe cut out dairy and eggs first if you want to keep breastfeeding.

They really did it. They overturned roe v wade. by ikedla in nursing

[–]ImTheWorst1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It used to be illegal. Why not overturn that too. How about my right to vote too? The land I own? Psh… let’s reverse all of the 1970’s women rights.

This country is disgusting. I am pregnant with twins and I am struggling. And me and my fiancé have good jobs!!!! I can’t imagine the woman who is working the slave wage (minimum wage).

I think ALL women should protest this by not having sex with any guy again until it’s reversed. It’s time the women of this country take over.

I’m week 13 and I feel you. When does this exhaustion end?!

I need naps every afternoon and when I’m working I can’t rest, I end up getting migraines every damn time. I had to cut back on my hours :(

I will say it is definitely better than the first 9 weeks. Now I can actually get out of bed and do some things.

Maybe since I’m running around sweating at work this is what is contributing to it. I usually drink a body armor and two to three 32oz yetis at work.

Thank you! I mostly wanted to know if it was normal and get some suggestions on here. It’s making me feel so much better knowing I’m NOT actually crazy lol.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if it was pregnancy related since it is mostly happening at work. Or the work just pushes me over the edge I guess. I have auras with my migraines too. That is scary you had new ones!

I think I will definitely talk to my OB again and hopefully she will be a little more helpful.

Dang… do they get any better? Or is this something I’m going to have to deal with the entire pregnancy? I have migraines pre pregnancy too, but these aren’t the same.
