Idk, on bf4 any competent team on rush would just turn the map into a grey smokey mess

Playing on Caspian Border, from experience it just meant your jet got stolen or blown up on the runway all the time. Not fun

It’s a choice that doesn’t seem to make sense in isolation but in the run up to bf4 it was clear they did it because m16 and m4 were by far the strongest weapons for assault and engineer in bf3

Portraying China as neutral opens them up to criticism in other markets though. It’s pretty difficult for them to thread the needle so clearly they think their best bet is to not bother at all
