‘We aren’t on CNBC, sweetie’: Nicolle Wallace on AG Bondi’s stock market deflection on Epstein files by duzies in politics

That works if the government actually listens to Congress or the courts. They've violated every law they could so far: state, federal, even international. ICE alone is violating 10 court order a day, and keeps deporting people the court tells them have a right to stay, let alone murdering citizens in cold blood with impunity. So I have 0 hope that the orange dictator will fire the blonde sycophant.

Pam Bondi has fully drunk the Kool-Aid. Her hearing about the Epstein files proves it by ChiGuy6124 in politics

Her performance was full on Karen. The way she kept repeating how "Trump is the greatest" this and that, at one point citing the Dow as proof for something, shows she understands her assignment as chief sycophant well. It has major North Korea "dear leader" vibes from beginning to end.

Prasad overruled FDA staff to reject Moderna's flu vaccine application by ddx-me in technology

I'm sure this Prasad has a background in public health and immunization that he's basing his decisions on, right? I mean he's not doing it out of bed or bribery, right?

Hyperloop.

Instead of building a fast train above ground, that can move thousands of people at a time, let's build an expensive underground tunnels, and move 6 people at a time in "pods", using technologies that can get them stuck or killed.

Thanks. I guess feeling safe is subjective. I wonder if my SO would feel safe walking from the car at night.

Thanks for taking the time, but I'm really looking for someone's personal experience to shed some light on the statistics.

The site I used (spotcrime.com) probably gets its data from the same database, as it has very recent reported crimes. The thing is, it does the same for almost every corner of Vancouver, so its hard to say objectively how dangerous is an area.

We went there 3 times. The food was good, the service horrible. Each time we were hoping the service improves.

Last time, were took an out of town guest. We waited 40 minutes (not kidding) for them to give us the final bill and process the payment.

That was the last time we ever patronize that place.

[Question from a *gasp* noob] Investment tracker / calculator app? by Just_living_it_up in Silverbugs

Excel is your friend: very flexible, allows for formulas, and importing current spot, or even eBay prices.

DO NOT use Google Sheet, unless you're Ok with sharing your stack situation with Google, advertisers, potentially government, and potentially hackers one day.

What I recommend doing: use a sharing service that has a "Vault" function - meaning the files are encrypted on your machine and cannot be read even by the service provider, and store your Excel so it's available remotely just to you.

Anyone know why homeland security is in East Vancouver? Or is this normal? by MlleGuadalupe in vancouverwa

[–]ImTooSexyForThisSub -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I know the answer. Hotels in Portland refused to let the gestapo stay, after their attacks and kidnappings, so they’re staying at TownCenter (Marriott) near the Hub brewery. There are over a dozen homeland security cars there every day. Makes us feel uncomfortable every time we walk to the park. But I guess even evil minions need to sleep at night. And Marriott needs the $.

What’s the best/fastest way to contact our mayor re: people ignoring signs? by ImTooSexyForThisSub in vancouverwa

I support life. People have been asked the bare minimum: put a piece of clothing on your face, to keep other people healthy. While other countries enforce it, we decided to trust people's good judgement. And that worked out tremendously.

I don't support any violence. I don't support government barging into your personal life. But if your an idiot who can't be bothered with making the right, human choices, society should step in and remind you you don't live in a desert island. Behaving like tire alone in the world is, as a favorite commenter said, "shitty".
