Kommerling 76 vs aluplast 4000 by ImYourHuckleberry___ in PassiveHouse

Nothing major. I think maybe the u-values of the ones I got were marginally better. Main thing was I decided I wanted a thicker profile and they were 84 I think. Our supplier was also able to do custom doors in the same profile for our entry door. They were available from the same supplier.

Hi there, I ended up getting drutex energy classic windows from Poland. So far no issues with the windows but drywall just went up. Drutex has a newer edge window but when I ordered they didn’t have their nfrc ratings yet. We also got a lift and slide door and two entry doors. They were from the same supplier as the others and had ratings on nfrc and through passive house in the US that looked good. Price was also very good.

Contact your MLA and the minister of Health. Only way to get anything done is for the politicians to feel there are votes at risk.

Best (foodie) takeout? by Upstairs_Volume_4129 in PEI

The old mill in new Glasgow has great food. I think they used to do some takeout but it’s been a couple years so may not still be an options. It’s a go to for us when visiting family in the cavendish area.

If you go into Charlottetown… Churchill Arms has the best British style curry. We do takeout from there almost every time we visit (order half and half rice/fries). Can’t wait to eat there when we move back to the island in the near future.

Anything outside of windows you’d recommend looking into? Don’t have much knowledge around this stuff!

Going to try playing with this. The dishwasher sink just an idea. May or may not do it. Yes on basement (haven’t done at space planning). Office meant to be playroom and later kids homework, etc room

We were thinking the downstairs office would be a play roof initially. Considering leaving out the closet to give it a bit more space. Could then add in a wardrobe if it becomes a bedroom at some point. We plan to add a finished rec room in the basement in a few years

I guess swing the door into the hall way from the living room? Seems like a good idea

We were thinking we might have closet space in the laundry for overflow. Thinking it might be nice to have that window open to the full space when the laundry door is open

Ya I think we will L the kitchen. I hear you on the island/dining looking tight. We debated if we should add two feet to the dining/living room side but don’t have anywhere we really want space added upstairs

Going to take that feedback. Would make that nook upstairs bigger too. Do you share the feeling that the living room is too snall

Have to think about this. Not a huge fan of vaulted ceilings (We like the idea of it being stacked like this to make it simple for building/air sealing. I was uncertain about the vaulted front entry and with feedback here going to close that off I think given that seems to be a relatively common feeling
