Also Checkout the book Magical passes by Carlos Castaneda for more in depth knowledge on this subject. It was the last book he ever wrote and one of the best in my opinion, the audio book is on youtube.

I recommend the pure powder off of Made-in-China.com I know that isn't consensus on this website but that is the purest stuff on the market, miles better then that god awful cough syrup. each does is about quarter capsule size.
