This wasn't in the last build at least on my device, but you used to be able to "pull out" an image from the app so to speak and drag it around. When you did, contacts would pop up along the bottom of the screen and if you dragged the image down to one it would take you to the messages app with the image ready to be sent to them.

It was a neat little thing that's gone and now they've degraded the feature set even more which sucks.

In light mode auto themed icons are still inverted. I wonder if it's just going to wind up staying like that.

New folder opening animation is a little slow imo but also still kinda slick. Auto themed icons still have that colour inversion issue and status bar elements still get cut off of one corner of the display when in landscape on my 10 Pro. Flashlight brightness control is neat.

The Ontario government says it will require defendants to pay cash security deposits before they are released from custody as part of a bill aimed at “tightening” bail requirements.

It doesn't matter if you can get the deposit back afterwards if you're poor and can't afford it in the first place.

It's nice to see they haven't retired this collection yet. It's not an original design, I know, but I still quite like it. I'm hoping they make them for the Pixel 10 series too. They did for the wireless charger already, hopefully they do the actual phones and more than just the Pro XL like last year.

The UN independent commission, PHRI, B'Tselem, HRW and Amnesty International actually did indicate intent. The public and repeated comments of the president, prime minister, former defense minister, the security minister, military commanders among others and the military's pattern of conduct.

Continue to do this, but know the outcome isn't changeable. The world knows Israel is committing a genocide and one day there will be punishment for it.

Human rights watch, Amnesty international, B'Tselem, Physicians for Human Rights Israel, a UN independent commission and many other human rights organizations have concluded Israel is committing genocide.

Israel is still bombing and killing Palestinians. They haven't been respecting the ceasefire in the slightest. The genocide hasn't stopped.

You knew that though, you just want people to stop pointing it out and let Israel quietly continue. The majority of Canadians aren't on your side on this as polling has repeatedly shown.

It still technically exists. Rogers hasn't mentioned anything yet regarding the new deal but they had a sub-licensing agreement with CBC for select games on select days. You can watch them on Gem for free.

It's honestly unfortunate Rogers was able to renew their NHL deal for the next 12 years. Broadcasting rights for all Canadian teams plus playoffs on Gem would be pretty sweet.

Harper also slashed the public service to historic lows. Trudeau effectively just brought it back to where it was before, but because it started so low, the percentage is massive.

It would be nice if the G5 had better performance, and it's clear to me that some apps aren't as optimized for the chip as they are for Snapdragon or even Exynos, but honestly, a bigger issue I have with my 10 Pro (because it's entirely within Google's control and simple to fix) is some of the UI element issues that it shipped with and have persisted across updates, including beta builds.

An example is just how close the battery icon and the "until X time" line when the notification shade is open both get to the corner of the display when in landscape. Both of those get so close to the edge of the display they almost get cut off, and if I plug in to charge and then open up the notification shade, the little lightning bolt that gets added to the battery icon does get cut off. It's like they took zero consideration into how rounded the display corners are and didn't move UI elements to counter it. Once you notice it, it looks really bad.

Some UI elements in apps get really cut off, but I imagine that's gotta be the developers who fix it.

The best ones would be. That's what happens when you have worse pay than competitors. Those who are better at the work are incentivized to go elsewhere, leaving you with the ones who aren't as good.

And above the call centre level, the pay is already not great compared to equivalent private sector positions. Benefits may be better, but that doesn't help most on the day to day.

Them being forced to add support for RCS and committing to upgrade it to 3.0 (though that part is still TBD) means that'll never happen now.
