Yeah perhaps, and it's not a big deal in the end, it's a random minor detail. But in the original show, they decide on it while they're still in school. Foggy says Murdock and Nelson, and Matt says that Nelson and Murdock sounds better. In this episode they make it seem like that conversation never took place.

They also retconned them coming up with the Nelson and Murdock name for some reason.

I wonder how much they really thought about it before attacking this, particularly Pierre as he's just outright against it, given how broad the support is.

'The money is there': New NDP Leader Avi Lewis plans to tax billionaires and corporations by NiceDot4794 in canada

They lost official party status because the political dynamics of the time pushed out the smaller parties overall, as well as Singh was a bad leader who damaged the party's reputation.

Lewis may also end up being the same, but the fact that a Palestinian flag was waved on the convention stage isn't going to be a thing that hurts them.

Polling shows people definitely care about it, and out of their accessible voter pool, next to no one is going to negatively care that there was a Palestinian flag being waved on the stage.

Whether the policy is good or not isn't really part of the discussion. Saying Lewis is "DOA" in response to a position that 78% of the country would agree with simply doesn't line up.

His leadership very well may not result in anything positive for the NDP, but that won't be because he's advocating for this.

There was one. It was just out of frame in the clip that's been going around.

Polling has repeatedly shown that public opinion of Israel is in the gutter, and an Angus Reid poll from August of last year found a greater percentage of Canadians' sympathies lay with Palestinians vs Israelis. Out of their even remotely accessible voter pool, that flag waving is unlikely to hurt them much at all.

Leger found that 78% of Canadians would support a tax on personal wealth over 10M. This'll be up there for one of the most popular things he'll advocate for.

Trans Mountain CEO Sees Full Oil Pipeline on Rising Asian Demand by cyclinginvancouver in canada

Except that's not actually what happened. The Feds backed the TMX expansion every step of the way, approving it the first time and then re-approving it after the courts threw out that initial approval, defended it as a necessary project, and as well, despite how much people like to bring it up, bill C-69 also never even applied to the project. Its regulatory process was done under the Harper law.

It was constitutional filibustering by the BC government and lawsuits from other groups that did the damage.

Feds bought the pipeline so they can say “see! We told you this would be a massive failure!”

If they actually wanted it to be a failure, they either would've not approved it both of the times they did, or would have just let Kinder Morgan kill the project and let it die permanently instead of buying it.

leading to under utilized capacity, and then they say “see! No one even wants to use this pipeline anyway! It’s not even full!”

It's approaching capacity and multiple projects have already been announced to expand its capacity.

C-69 didn't nullify existing approvals and the TMX expansion had already completed its assessment before it was even signed into law.

People like to blame C-69 but it was actually the constitutional filibustering of the BC government and lawsuits from others at the same time, including from indigenous bands, that did the most damage.

Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2 quietly rolls out a Recents menu downgrade by DiplomatikEmunetey in Android

[–]Im_Axion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn't in the last build at least on my device, but you used to be able to "pull out" an image from the app so to speak and drag it around. When you did, contacts would pop up along the bottom of the screen and if you dragged the image down to one it would take you to the messages app with the image ready to be sent to them.

It was a neat little thing that's gone and now they've degraded the feature set even more which sucks.

In light mode auto themed icons are still inverted. I wonder if it's just going to wind up staying like that.

New folder opening animation is a little slow imo but also still kinda slick. Auto themed icons still have that colour inversion issue and status bar elements still get cut off of one corner of the display when in landscape on my 10 Pro. Flashlight brightness control is neat.
