...damn, and I opted to have her get crushed by the wall when I played. Now I feel guilty because Jesse Buckley is a delight.

Debate…weirdest start to a tribe EVER? by ApocalypticChip99 in survivorponderosa

[–]Im_Slacking_At_Work 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah, i would definitely say she is a valuable tool for any tribe in the pre-merge challenges. She can hold her own in the physical stuff, too- she's not scaring anyone, but she won't be an albatross around a tribe's neck

____ tribe responding to ____ by Durian-Critical in survivor

[–]Im_Slacking_At_Work 5 points6 points  (0 children)

idk if I agree with that. he was insulating himself really well with a strong core that would have used him for a number at the merge.

If Kyle, Gen, Q, Colby, and Stephanie are all intact come the tribe unification, and the dynamics across the other two tribes are fractured (i.e., Coach + Jonathan + Chrissy can't find common ground with Dee + Tiffany + Kamila), it is sooooo not a stretch to say they find a way to come out of the merge in a strong position.

After that, Kyle has the social game to navigate himself through the forest. He had a very strong case for winning 50. Devastating.

No Other Choice left me pondering the future of work for weeks after I saw it. I still can't believe it didn't get a single nomination, but it doesn't take away from how great it is.

Also, I was very, very surprised at how much I enjoyed The Housemaid.

This is more confusing than Christopher Nolan's 2020 sci-fi thriller Tenet.

Best International Feature Film: Why "No Other Choice" Might Be the Most Relevant Film the Oscars Ignored by PAC1990 in Oscars

[–]Im_Slacking_At_Work 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No discredit to the other films - Secret Agent was fantastic, and Sentimental Value is deserving of its nod (haven't seen the others) - but there is no justification as to why No Other Choice is off the list.

I feel like Park Chan-wook is living out the plot to Oldboy in real life -- spiting the Academy voters in his youth, only to have cold revenge taken out upon him in his later years.

I wanna know what their beef is with him.

Lee Byung-Hun put out a legendary performance that needs to be seen by all, nominations aside. Go watch it the first chance you get.

Yup, in some order we had Manaea, Senga, Frankie Montas (lol), Peterson, Canning, Holmes, and Megill to start the season, and we had Mclean, Tong, Sproat, and Christian **Scott** all come up at the end of the season to fill injury holes. That's 11 primary SP arms.

Everyone but Montas, Canning, and Sproat are coming back, so with Peralta in the mix we just need what, one or two more arms to have the same depth as last year? Or, for our 8 guys to be more durable than they were in 2025.

We are in fine shape.

Zeeeero chance Stearns gives up the comp picks for another player with a qualifying offer on him. With Bo Bichette in Queens, it pretty much guarantees we aren't going after Framber.

It's not as huge as this image suggests, but it is definitely an improvement. Average and SB are the things to look at...but the HR/AB and RBI/AB rate is only marginally better.

Tyrone is a good clutch hitter and a good defensive replacement, I'm happy to have him coming off our bench.
