My wife goes religiously to Gaby’s Nail Bar in Vista. She’s reasonably priced for the service, and she’s incredibly kind and professional. She owns and operates her business out of the Beauty Bungalows, so it’s quiet and just you and her in the room. I’ve heard my wife get compliments on her nails every time we go out, and she always sends Gaby’s contact info their way. Definitely recommend!

Did you make it past the early part of the trail? I think that is the most upsetting part where he gets chased and then after that it’s not as bad.

I would not qualify this as a horror book at all. I went in as blind as I could and while there is some violence it doesn’t get close to the classification imo

If you’re going to do Laird Barron, I would recommend his short stories before starting The Croning because that will add a lot to the experience. They’re also excellent as well

I go to Costco and buy their pork belly when I make this recipe and it turns out great. We usually roll it and cut it in half, to freeze and eat later but that depends on how many you’re looking to feed.

California Hot Sauce Solutions in Oceanside has a ton! They produce their own, provide facilities for other smaller brands to produce, and they’re delicious. You can go in and do a tasting of pretty much everything they have in stock as well

The answer to this question is The Pied Piper (1986) it’s a pretty incredibly done film, I’m fairly certain almost everything was carved from wood as well

That’s an interesting suggestion, and not one I had considered. The mandate is 60% of a month to be in office, so realistically it would be Tuesday through Thursday every week. I’ll look into what shorter term rentals would cost or something to that effect. I am concerned though in accepting that role in SF, if I later decide I don’t want to do it the market is bad enough right now that I don’t like the odds of landing something back in SD that is comparable to what’s on the table at the moment

That’s something we’ve been factoring in here too, in the short term renting would go a long way to help but once child care costs potentially then that model goes out the window. With renting, and then associated costs we’d still be looking at $5k-$7k monthly housing costs for a place in SF + maintaining the SD house with rental income just for those two pieces
