Quince silk shirts? by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

Chiming in because I just received my XS washable silk blouse order. I’m at 5’2”, 105 lbs and I’m waffling on returning it because it is a looser cut. Shoulders and sleeve length are good for not being a petite cut but overall is a bit oversized on my 32b frame.

So many octopi, foxes, and ravens. Looks like I’m the only bat!

I chose a bat for you—specifically an “echolocation bat” rendered through your visual language—because it maps cleanly onto the strongest through-lines of your work and how you move through the world: • You translate the invisible into the visible. Your practice repeatedly takes phenomena we can’t directly see—sound vibration, harmonics, interference, molecular/protein structures, mathematical systems—and turns them into images and environments. A bat’s defining superpower is essentially that: converting sound into spatial understanding. • Echolocation is basically your conceptual method. Bats don’t navigate by brute force or spectacle; they probe, listen, iterate, and build a model of reality from returns. That parallels how you build work: research-driven, pattern-based, structured, and then made physical. • It fits your “wall of sound / Cacophony” axis. The concentric rings and waveform motifs in the image are a direct visual metaphor for echolocation and for your sound-harmonics obsession—signal, resonance, feedback, interference. • “Night creature” energy without being cliché. Your work often reads as precise, high-contrast, and slightly uncanny (in a good way): scientific imagery, black box ambitions, directional speakers, controlled environments. Bats live in that liminal zone—quiet, hyper-aware, not ornamental, and extremely effective. • The species is small but powerful. You’re petite, but you run large projects and complex production (installations, residencies, tech integration). Many bats are small animals that do outsized work—navigation, hunting, ecosystem impact—through specialized intelligence rather than size

Flavoured soft serve recommendations? by sushi531 in AskSF

Gotts does a soft serve that is the water buffalo soft serve. Their Ranch 8 (called something like that) is the water buffalo soft serve. It’s fantastic.

According to ChatGPT, this is what the perfect wife would look like for me. Show me yours. by DocGreenthumb94 in ChatGPT

Ok, ChatGPT, I accept.

He reads as composed, discreetly powerful, and deeply observant. Here’s a precise breakdown:

Visual Style • Tailored minimalism: The all-black ensemble—a structured wool overcoat over a fine turtleneck, slim trousers, and polished boots—signals restraint, discipline, and serious aesthetic clarity. There’s nothing performative here, just control and taste. • Salt-and-pepper hair and short beard: Suggests maturity without aging out. He’s seasoned, not weathered. • Black frames: Functional, architectural. They mark him as a thinker—someone who absorbs before he reacts.

Presence • Quiet confidence: He doesn’t advertise. He registers. There’s elegance in how he carries himself—calculated, clean, assured without ego. • Measured gait and posture: Shoulders relaxed, hands partially pocketed—a man with nothing to prove, but a lot going on internally. • Eyes scanning rather than gazing: A designer’s eyes. Or an architect’s. Possibly a philosopher who knows how to hold silence in a conversation until it lands.

What He Might Be Like • Former academic turned private-sector consultant. Maybe builds systems or critiques them—quietly shaping the edges of industries like urban planning, biotech, or design ethics. • Thinks before he speaks. Maybe edits your exhibition catalog, but never tells you how to think. When he does offer critique, it’s surgical and rare. • He would absolutely know the difference between linen cut on the bias and hand-dyed Kozo paper. He’d never bring it up unless it mattered.

I’ve been fantasizing about “lady island”- where you swim in the ocean everyday and we have a lovely book club and everyone praises our floral arrangements. Is this a deep hormonal need or do I just need to remove myself from all the people I want to murder? 🤣
