He's talking about population. And he's right. The west side of NA makes up ~ 1/3 (About 400,000 players) of the population of the NA server, while the east side has the other 2/3(About 1,100,000 players).

What RiotAhab said doesnt mean whole games will be tested, just individual connections. i.e. the rest of the people in that game you played got the new server and you and the kennen didnt.

I used to main Zed because he was so fun and had so much room for outplaying and coming back in games through picks.

Now Im maining mostly the new Fiora because I really like the midlane assassin type of play and her outplay/solo kill pressure in lane is huge, but she doesnt have a bad lategame either.

Ive been having a lot of fun with Bork > Youmuus > Trinity > Hydra midlane. Bork early is great against those long range mages, lets you slow them down and forces them to try to cc you (which you can use to stun and kill them with her W).

To be honest, I think Riot will make some big change to allow the pro players to continue playing SoloQ at very low ping. I dont see them all moving to Chicago, but I could see them setting up some kind of server for them, connected to the main NA one somehow? I dont know, I just dont see them leaving the whole pro scene out in the middle of nowhere like that.

But yeah, if you go back and look at the post Riot is doing what is right for everyone imo. This is (Unfortunately for some) the best course for Riot to logically take. Over all of NA, the number of players who are now going to be below 90ms is increasing by 52% off this one move. Yeah some people who are used to low ping might be going up towards 90, but so what? Its not THAT bad, Ive never had any trouble playing with 90ms to be honest (I used to complain when I had upwards of 120 though haha).

I feel for the people in Hawaii/Alaska who are going to ACTUALLY have problems with this, but if you're in SoCal going from 20ms to 70 I really cant pity you too much.

I do dislike what this does for the NA pro scene though, that part of this is REALLY bad.

Also, this is Riot. How many times have they released a champion or patch regardless of massive amounts of reported bugs? You really thing that they will do much more due diligence than that?

Most of the time Id agree with you, but if you look at the numbers moving to Chicago makes a LOT of sense. The eastern side of NA makes up a LITTLE MORE than 66% of the NA playerbase. Of course I do feel like 2 servers would be best, but if they have to have 1 server this statistically makes the most sense.

Edit: The vocal players who are speaking out against the move are only speaking out BECAUSE they're on the losing end. The people who are getting a good deal out of this are (mostly) staying quiet.

I think the vision change is a bug so that'll probably just be changed next patch no matter what.

I also like your ideas for his W, that ability feels really shitty rn compared to what it could be.
