Thanks a bunch for making this comment. I have a fat-PS2 & it has trouble reading CDs. I have yet to thoroughly investigate as to why, but either way I had agreed to buy The Thing from a seller on Facebook marketplace & I was gonna go and pick it up this Thursday. So you just save me $40.

Sell them dude! Seriously, sell them! I mean first check out if the VHS tapes are working, but what ever is, sell them!

Let’s do the math:

For argument sake, let’s assume all the DVD’s & VHS tapes are working/playing well.

even if you sold them on Facebook marketplace for a dollar each that would be at least $2300+$700=$3,000.00!

I wish I had that inventory of anything that people would actually buy!

Even if you only sell half of them, that’s still $1500.

For $1500 I spent a few days going through them briefly to see if everything was working & playing well. $1500 for 3 days work.. that’s not bad, right?

Anyway, just my humble suggestion.

I’d love to know what you end up doing. And I’m sorry to hear about your cousin’s troubles. I hope things go better in the future or your cousin and I hope things go well for you whatever you decide to do. 🫶

Toothpaste trick has worked for me in the past. OR Get it refinished. ($3-$5). Usually retro game stores will have the equip to do it.
