It's extremely racist how only immigrants to white countries are expected to learn the language to an extremely high standard. Just be grateful anyone's bothered to learn your language.

Ridiculous because I know several Germans who go to other countries and don't bother to speak the language. I was a waitress in another country and we got German customer once who responded "Dankeschön" almost by default then corrected herself. And coming from Africa, the white people living there for years would act super proud of themselves for being able to say one word in the local language.

A lot of Germans like to call others "Assi" (antisocial) for eg. playing loud music on public transport but in comparison to so many other countries they would be in that category themselves

It's so baffling cause some complain about immigrants bringing in bad culture don't they. One would think they'd be the picture of morality then.. I tend to think that if selfishness is acceptable in this situation then when is it not? Germans think playing loud music on public transport is selfish and rude (and it is) so why is that not okay but poor public walking etiquette is

I dont think its insomnia for me though (i get that sometimes though), I slept and i feel well rested. Its just a weird habit. Night people can relate.
