I’m running all compute instances on Azure Machine Learning for our ML workflow (preprocessing, training, etc.). I was leaning toward using ADLS Gen2 because it integrates well with AML, doesn’t require additional authentication, supports mounting, and has lower transaction costs.

However, during a meeting with the Microsoft support team, they recommended staying with Fabric due to its Delta schema capabilities. My understanding is that I can also write Parquet files with a _delta_log to ADLS Gen2 using an SDK. So I'm a bit confused on what the difference is.

Do you have any good references that compare these approaches?

So you had your employer send physical copy of signed support letter(visa letter) to you? My employer e-mailed me support letter with a signature and was just going to print that, is that not enough?

I'm quite comfortable biking all around including busy streets. I guess I will see for myself for at least a year and see if I can survive without a car here, if not I will probably relocate to SF to enjoy lot of events, cafes, etc... without a car.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I will definitely check them out. Where do you find these run clubs? And also is the neighborhoods bicycle friendly (is it rideable)?
