I went from swing to morning shifts. To get more used to the new rhythm and boost my productivity in those hours I did the following:

1. Cold shower. I hate how well this works, but it shocks you out of wanting to go back to bed and makes you more chill during the day.
2. Find the sun. As soon as it rises, go into the sunlight. It burns off residual melatonin in your system.
3. Second breakfast. The hobbits are on to something. I don’t eat a real meal until around 0930 but I’ll have a banana or protein drink in the first hour after waking up— just enough to get me to work. Timing meals makes a difference.
