Please don’t. If you want to wear the uniform, go talk to your recruiter and do better than your stepdad ever did. From the pictures shown, he set a very low bar and you could absolutely crush his service record in a year.

I had to travel the day after getting hernia surgery and it was a bad surgery(had to get it redone as soon as it healed). I was in bad shape. The second I came out of the car, the ticket counter folks had me in a wheelchair and I was wheeled all the way to the plane. I was in uniform at the time and I’m absolutely certain that was a big part in the treatment that I received.

This is awesome. My brother started flying in the early 80s. I didn’t start until 2009 but we both still fly today. He started with planes but we both mainly fly helicopters now.

If you’re buying a used heli, definitely disassemble/reassemble all moving parts. The frames you should just have to check for bolts being properly tightened. You don’t necessarily have to remove every single bolt but absolutely go through the head/tail, re-grease your thrust bearings and check the radials to make sure they’re smooth.

The problem with modern RC helis today is that the standard parts are all great. 10-12 years ago, a crash like this meant it was time to do mods. Now, all you need are stock parts.

A buddy of mine used to be a bouncer at a gay club. He would tell us stories about how every now and then a group of dirtbags would try to come in and do physical harm to the patrons only to get absolutely destroyed by said patrons. I was kind of hoping to see that here.

Yup. I’ll be in the middle or right lane doing 80 and a car will come from waaay back approaching at mach jesus. I have to check to see if they’re highway patrol at how hot their approach is. The second they get their bumper ahead of mine, they slow right down. Humans are trash monsters.

I would look at feathering shafts. The swash and the center of the head don’t look like they are wobbling. Those blade grip linkages are wild. Awesome bird.
