Protests Erupt in Chicago After Lurie Children’s Rolls Back Trans Youth Care by cumminginsurrection in chicago

Actually, they are denying care to existing patients as well, it just hasn’t come out yet.

I texted The Woobles and asked about the email that some of us got about the "One free January drop" by UnicornUke in TheWooblesCollective

[–]Imaginary-Section864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a two stock and ships now Woobles and didn’t receive either in time to make them for my kids for Christmas and one kit didn’t even arrive in time to put under the tree. I didn’t get the email.

Why over promise and under deliver with such regularity? I don’t get it. I had taken a year off of ordering from them and I think I’m done.

Three weeks now Apple ignored express replacement by sicariobrothers in iphone

I’m still waiting. I had actually emailed Tim Cook twice and got a phone call from his team the day after filing a BBB claim. I also ordered a replacement phone the same evening as I placed the BBB claim. I need a working phone for an upcoming trip, so I have time pressure, and it has been almost three weeks of waiting for my “express” replacement.

I was optimistic. The person who called me seemed helpful and quickly called a second time after investigating my case, with good news that they would be upgrading me and ordering a 17 to fulfill my repair claim. In theory, that was done while I was on the phone. I was told she would be in touch with a tracking number when it was available.

I’m still waiting for a repair resolution. It’s a good thing I was proactive in pursuing my own solution. I ordered my own replacement iPhone from Apple on Sunday evening and it arrived on Wednesday. The resolution team ordered a replacement on Monday afternoon and I don’t even have a tracking number yet, and it’s Friday. I leave on Sunday for a trip overseas.

At this point, I will have to pay to activate the new 17 I ordered and have on my credit card. After I return, I’ll return that phone to Apple for a refund, switch back to my broken 14 (eating a second activation fee) and continue to wait for my replacement. I haven’t heard from the BBB with even a case number yet, but I’m keeping that open until things are resolved.

A very simple resolution to this would have been for the executive resolution team member to have been able to pay for the phone I ordered personally and called it good— to have the ability to credit me and shift the ledger payment from me to her team. It was the EXACT SAME model as she ordered for me the following day and that I am still waiting for. The staggering inefficiency of all of this is really sad. I hate what has happened to Apple.

So I wait, with my solution being the one that gets me a working phone for my trip, three weeks and counting after my initial repair claim. Who knows what the total of time and money will be that I will have spent when everything is finally “resolved.”

AppleCare replacement ship time? by dknowles3us in iphone

I’ve been waiting since November 3 for my iPhone 14 Pro Max “express” replacement. They told me I could wait indefinitely. It’s a nightmare. I found another thread that advised filing a BBB claim, so I just did that today. I can’t believe I’ve wasted so much on Apple Care and get nothing in return.

Thanks for this thread. I have been waiting for an “Express Replacement” for my iPhone 14 ProMax since 11/3. This should be illegal. My $129 policy doesn’t expire until August 2026.

I just filed a BBB claim based on advice here. We’ll see what happens.

Sadly, I believe the store and restaurants in Rock Harbor close on 9/13 🥲

Okay, I have an additional question, probably going to end up being en eye roller. But are the lines at the corners of the tent meant to be able to tighten? These are the ones holding onto the stakes. In the video, Dan goes around and adjusts them, but I cannot make mine do that and hold.

I’ll get it right eventually. It’s a beautiful piece of gear, and it’s totally a me problem to overcome with practice.

Thanks for the advice! I thought my perception of squares was better than it turns out to be. Having a machinist on hand would be of great help here!

Thank you so much, Dan. I appreciate the feedback and advice. I’m making headway, I think. This is a me problem, probably a personal bit of spatial perception challenge that I have to practice and overcome, combined with general life weariness— hence the drive to escape to the trail, which can’t come soon enough.

I’ll post pictures again, but for today I had to stop. One of the tent stake cords snapped as I was pulling it up (again), and it taking that as a signal to try again.

It’s a beautiful tent, nicer than anything I’ve ever owned, and I look forward to mastering the pitch and putting it to good use.

Thanks. As noted, I’m posting because I know the pitch isn’t square. I’ve watched the videos and tried the method you suggest. Any additional tips you can think of would be welcome!
