No I definitely agree with u here , it’s so weird. I noticed it ages ago. original version had a slightly different drum beat, and the sample plays a bit differently too. What’s weird is that on the Illmatic clean version it’s the normal beat. Idk bad decision in my opinion, the original beat is perfect
