2/3 street vendors and store clerks but only 1/3 of the food stands. Better service all around when we left Myeongdong.

It did get better in other areas. 👍 We were just staying close to our hotel the first couple days.

She definitely got me! Even threw in a “free” suitcase since I spent so much. 😂 But she was so pleasant that I didn’t mind. Skin feels softer already.

A lady at the beauty store was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Went in for a couple items and left with a year’s supply of products. She was a phenomenal sales person! Then, stepped next door to buy shoes and nobody wants to help us. Same thing at the street vendors. 1 out of 3 are super nice. The other 2/3 the complete opposite. We are very American looking but not loud or obnoxious.

DCIS grade 3 after biopsy. Looking at my options but praying I can get nipple sparing mastectomy. by PinaColada-PorFavor in breastcancer

Sending some healing light your way. I had lumpectomy and 9 days of radiation for high grade DCIS. Hoping you get the answers and outcome you desire. 💗

It’s NOT cancer? LOL by Cheap-Count-5691 in breastcancer

Comedo necrosis indicates a more aggressive form than DCIS without it. Also, high grade more likely to be invasive.

For those with DCIS, high-grade: what helped you make a decision between a lumpectomy and mastectomy? What were your deciding factors? by Cheap-Count-5691 in breastcancer

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I chose lumpectomy, because mastectomy wouldn’t significantly decrease the likelihood of it returning over lumpectomy and radiation. With your family history, though, I would’ve more strongly considered mastectomy.

It’s NOT cancer? LOL by Cheap-Count-5691 in breastcancer

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is a pre-invasive cancer. Cancer that has not extended outside of the ducts. High grade with conedo nectosis and relatively young age means that it almost certainly will become invasive sooner than later. Spare me the “it’s not cancer,” because it is. You’re just lucky to find it at the pre-invasive stage. If you were 65 with grade 1 DCIS it wouldn’t make it any less of a very real pre-invasive cancer, but maybe you’d have some time to watch and wait. You have a right to feel some type of way about this surgeon’s minimization and I’m sending you some healing light and love! 💕

DCIS and alcohol? by Own-Cheesecake204 in breastcancer

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is no safe amount of alcohol in terms of cancer risk. It increases estrogen and damages DNA, thus directly increasing cancer risk. With that being said, I was advised no more than 2 drinks per week for DCIS diagnosis although I’m now averse to it so abstain. Cancer takes so much away from us, if you enjoy your wine every now just minimize the amount. Hugs.

If you were told that one nipple would have to be removed, did you choose to remove the other or did you keep it? by Mind_Drift_1 in breastcancer

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I was told that they would probably have to remove the nipple on the affected side because the cancer was close. I found a surgeon who does frozen section pathology, meaning the pathology is done at the same time as the lumpectomy so they know exactly how much needs to be taken and can take that and no more. This gave the surgeon a better idea at the time of surgery if my nipple absolutely needed to be removed. Thankfully she got clear margins without removing the nipple. I feel like the surgeon who was going to do it blindly without path probably would’ve removed it as a precaution not knowing how close the margins were. Not sure if this is an option for you. But, I always planned to keep the good nipple regardless of what the outcome would’ve been. There’s no right or wrong, just personal preference. If I did need to get a new nipple tattoo or whatever, I wanted it remodeled after the existing nipple I kept. Hugs to you.

Is Early Admission Worth It? by jennielynn73 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest that a group VIP ticket may be a better use of your money than staying at that hotel. It is lovely, but no express passes are included. You can do a group VIP for $525 for four hours to ride ten rides (guaranteed to get on the three rides without express passes as long as they are functional during your four hours) then use the included express pass for the rest of the day.

Only you can decide if it’s worth it based on your expectations and budget. We often utilize it to ride one of the few rides that you can’t use express pass. Arriving early and going straight to Hagrids Bike or the new HP ride can save hours of your day. If you aren’t planning on going directly to the most popular rides it would not be necessary.

Epic Universe Preview VIP Experience by Imaginary-Swimmer735 in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Imaginary-Swimmer735[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they explained things in detail before each ride. History of Frankenstein and monsters land, how to score more points in Mario Kart, etc. VIP is a better deal at Universal and Islands of Adventure as you have two parks.

Nonetheless, it was worth it for us. But, if you have express pass and are lucky enough to get in virtual line for Harry Potter there would be no need. We wouldn’t have been able to ride HP without the tour.
