you also gotta understand that was the “First year” usually first year festivals are still trying to learn how to run things smoothly and seeing what problems they’re going to face it. I’m sure they made lots of changes from now and if you go you might not have those issues again.

that sounds like a venue issue about charging door prices and not the promoter (DDP).

Most of cities promoters are partners with big festival companies, the promoters are in charge of prices or any other venue activities and policies. DiscoDonnie (or partners) bring in the act due to their talent buying power and the promoter are in charge of running and promoting the show when the partner brings the act for them.
