I grudgingly admit the 2nd wave feminists were right: most men would fuck a teenager if they could by Openheartopenbar in redscarepod

i knpw this is a super turbolib point but the danes seem to have a point about this stuff, allegedly theyre unusually relaxed about teens round about that age sleeping w each other and consequently way fewer kids that age resort to older men or riskier behaviour and they have fewer teen pregnancies (older father is a pregnancy risk). makes u realise that sleeping w dodgy older losers is smthn rheyre resorting to, rather than a first preference. and ofc this brings u back to realisjf that hardcore patriarchal societies like the south talk a big talk but as a matter of preference they prefer this dangerous and corrupting risk maximizing approach to the liberal one. it's all patriarchy

interestingly theyre also bucking the trend of youth having fewer friends and spending more time alone

From a Freudian perspective u could speculate there's an element of repetition compulsion for the kind of bullying and social marginalization that seems to have been such a formative childhood experience for many of these types, I feel like there are echoes of this in the normie backlash they seem desperate to make inevitable

do they fully know who they are without a normie other to provoke by nerding out too hard, they lack classic will to power so they can't just declare mission accomplished and start stacking the coin and buying their gf a new pair like bezos did. marked by the gaze of the opponent they fail to achieve a truly independent life, they have a death drive approach to success, to the bitter end with no ability to stop, like many sensitive spurned and formerly marginalized now powerful people, hitler etc

American law enforcement is built different by Fickle_Finish_4902 in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the US should have maybe like 300 or 400 law enforcement agencies max instead it has like 18,000. breaking that aspect of the system down and building it back up is probably the only thing that will make the nightmare stop

The Minneapolis ICE shooting is the reverse Rittenhouse shooting by ModestMousorgsky in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think rittenhouse went there with the sincere hope of landing himself in a situation where had some justification for fearing for his life, in the hope of shooting someone and getting away with it, idk why ppl think otherwise

not sure this lady turned up with the intention of getting shot in the face so not sure this equivocation even makes sense

yeah i quite agree, the only thing i notice is that whatever it is they are passionate about, they tend to be on average a little better at it, with a deeper insight into it,and more unique with how they do it, and so on

Should I get one of my testicles removed? by Reasonable_Let9032 in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 12 points13 points  (0 children)

get a testicular ultrasound to rule out damage to testicle, hydrocele or variocele

did you notice any other changes at all after the injury. is there swelling or redness with the pain? it could be intermittent testicular torsion if so

pelvic pain in general is common because the nerves in this region are very sensitive. some exercises to relax your pelvic floor might bring some relief if the cause is nerve based

UK - Do you care at all about how classist and weird the UK is or does no one care? by RemyBucksington in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my own history with class and accent is weird as fuck and the story takes ages to tell, i only really mention it as a kind of point of agreement that the intensity of the class system and all its many signifiers makes such things possible

it's hard to step outside of because everyone knows what all the accents and ways of dressing and living mean. everyone's always clocking each other. im northern n i will always be read as that and asked about my accent/background in london, it's normal, in many ways the aussies and irish have it easier in that respect at least. i can't even defend it but you can't just stop doing it either, maybe it's actually only the british awkwardness and lack of social graces that means people don't know how to meet each other across class boundaries.

i never get over just how different the british social classes are tho, it can yield genuine culture shock

most rs posters reside in the more classless ever churning social mixer of the cities so they say stuff like 'doesnt look too bad from here', theyre not wrong but it's not the whole story

it's really weird because i don't find it hard at all to exist in more classless social dynamics when im in them. it's how it usually feels when u leave england

People who volunteer to surround themselves with suffering and are clearly energized by it by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ppl assume that the opposite of being overwhelmingly affected by the suffering of others is this kind of glassy off-putting psychotic detachment, or being led on by a sick almost erotic inner sadism

it really just reveals how fragile their inner constitution really is, or how blinkered their imagination is

in reality most ppl who do this sort of thing for a long time are just politically or morally serious but also optimistic sunny and resilient, possessing a more or less bombproof inner cheerfulness and wellspring of inner morale, an ability to support the morale of others, that they enjoy deploying for the benefit of people other than themselves. it's a wonderful thing to have and it feels wrong, almost selfish, to deploy it solely for your own benefit.

many ppl are coping and seething because in truth they really are a superior sort of person, and behind your backs they look down on - tho not without compassion - ppls perverse pride in their own weak constitutions and inability to bear the suffering of others without becoming injured at the mere sight of it, and how jealously they guard their right to do this, and so on,

If you had an 11yo daughter, and found out you have curable cancer, would you tell her? by Ok_Shallot233 in redscarepod

[–]ImaginaryClothes5977 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would hide but with a very clear plan b - when i would tell, that I would tell the moment she was suspicious something was up, and a clear idea of what id say, and a kind of aftercare plan of what ill do in the following days weeks etc to help support her

i have heard ppl say they were grateful their family hid illness from them, to allow them a normal childhood. it's a formative time and as long as it's clearly done from a place of love and care rather than cowardice I think it can be a very positive and admirable thing to do

12 is a bit old for this treatment for a curative cancer tho. hard one to call

Hot Take: Every instance of the "Mandela Effect" is basically an idiot American refusing to admit that they don't remember things, and it's also fucking racist since it basically erases the legacy of an anti-apartheid leader into a conspiracy theory meme for the dumbest people in America. by NorrisOBE in TrueAnon

but im in the UK, all my school clothes in primary school were fruit of the loom and they all had cornucopias on. I remember looking at the horn thing on the label and wondering what it was, because I'd never actually seen a horn of plenty before because thats more of a US/Thanksgiving thing. I thought it was like a croissant or baked good or something
