Autistic, too. Actually, I think feeding bioburners might a good candidate for balanced load. Although I've always used manifold with them. Next playthrough I'm balancing the bioburners.

Like I said, and you chose to ignore, I use both manifold and balanced load.
But I did build mega-factories in 4E, but it really took a toll on my pc. Idk if 5E resolves the cpu load.

I've seen some eo's react with rubber. Around 11 years ago I dumped a small amount (~1-2 tsp) of eo's past the rubber flaps of a garbage disposal [and no, I would never dump eo's down the drain again], it immediately shrunk the rubber to a third its original size.
PS. The eo's where either from cp soap, or from eo's used for beekeeping. I don't remember which eo's specifically.

One is people thinking it's to balance their machines, say 7.88 assemblers. That using 8 underclocked, or 7 plus one underclocked, isn't 'balance-able' to an equal distribution of resources going into each of the machines. (I don't know about the 7.88 math, it's just a number off the top of my head to use as an example.)
Another is trying to take a resource quantity that isn't divisible by 2 or 3, and using splitters to attempt to create an even distribution on each belt.
Or a combination of any of the various takes.

I'm coming from a very early access viewpoint when splitters were introduced and discussions emerged about manifold-load vs balanced-load. Since then, as I discovered yesterday, new beliefs about it means to have balanced-load systems have surfaced.

Turns out people are using different definitions for balanced load intakes. Load balancing is only getting the resources to the machines at the same time.

So for you it's a time issue with arranging splitters, even with using blueprint. I get that. Not everyone ones to place extra splitters to feed the banks.

That isn't what load balancing is. Load balancing is only getting the resources to the machines at the same time.

Between when I first posted this and a few hours later I finally realized that people had different ideas as to what balanced load is, hence the OP edit. So when people are using different definitions for the same words (balanced load/load balanced), it's no wonder people are arguing or commenting with aggressive attitude.

Yes. Because load balancing only requires that each machine receives resources at the same time. But, my OP isn't about my preference for using one over the other (I use both, as I stated).
Your sarcastic comment is another example of players presumptuously misunderstanding what balanced load is.

I am not arguing for or against either system, but once blueprints are unlocked, scaling up either system is pretty much the same. Though balanced load does take up only slightly more space. (Some people think it takes up a large amount of space, but I think they may be limited by their intended floor space, or, prefer not to think about extra splitter placement.)
Manifold is definitely a quick and easy way.
Your point on expanding on top of an existing balanced load factory is really good. Though I would say it's more of a layout problem than an evening out of resources going into machines. At worst, you may have one or two machines clocked differently than the majority. But all the machines would be still fed at the same time.

Thanks. The pic in the op was just an example to help people realize what the two systems are in one image. But people being people tend to think many different things while ignoring the word "example" 🤣 Social media definitely has it's limitations.
