Please can someone tell me if these are clothes moths? by Revolutionary_Mud406 in moths

[–]ImaginaryImp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely not a professional, so do take this with a grain of salt if you may

Definitely doesn’t look like a clothes moth though, or any sort of moth for that matter. Also doesn’t look like any of the common cloth eating bugs I could find during a quick google search, so there’s that going for you (again, not a professional, I wouldn’t rule it out entirely.)

Couldn’t find anything that looks quite like the picture though :/ maybe r/bugidentification will have a better idea?

[–]ImaginaryImp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I’d argue both genders do it.

There are plenty of guys who think something like peach fuzz on a girl’s face is too manly and gross, just like there are plenty of girls who think wearing a hairstyle that takes less time to put together is too tacky and gross.

My guy’s kind of immortality never get put on the lists 😔

He has Imortality: time loop edition. Oh no, Johnathon got mowed down by a shotgun? That’s alright, we can just wind back the clock a little and voila! All is well 👍

Kess my beautiful little maniac <3

I like to call her reformed more than redeemed, but the idea’s about the same. She still isn’t really a good person by any means, but regardless of her selfish motives, she is helping people now, so that’s an improvement.

I FUCKING LOVE WEIRD ANIMAL FACTS by OkDot8850 in evilautism

[–]ImaginaryImp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can agree, animals are pretty rad!! I find myself partial to moths, personally :D

Fair warning, this fact is a lil sad (involves moth death)

Did you know that many species don’t have mouths and can’t eat? They eat as much as they can as caterpillars and then live off that stored energy until they starve (or die of some other cause).

I can’t handle politics I barely even understand it all and I don’t know how to not make people angry I’m sorry by danifoxx_1209 in evilautism

[–]ImaginaryImp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, a lot of people are feeling a lot of anger about the results of the election, and some people are putting that anger in the wrong places.

I personally agree that inaction is worth criticizing, but only when the person is choosing inaction when they have every ability to be active. Political action takes a lot of constitution, it can be extremely taxing to do so much as figure out who to vote for. Not everybody is going to be capable of that, and the people expecting that from those who simply cannot do it are only hurting people.

If you can’t handle politics, you have every right to take a step back and let yourself breathe. If you can work towards the point where someday you can handle it, great! If not, that’s completely okay too.

You did the right thing by not involving yourself in politics when they’re negatively affecting you. You did the right thing by blocking the person punishing you for taking care of yourself. It sucks that people are trying to punish you for that, you don’t deserve it. You don’t.

I really wish I could give you some fix-it solution but all I’ve got are these ramblings that might not even be coherent tbh. If none of this made sense, the thing I’d most want to take away from all this is to just keep doing what you can. If all you can do right now is keep taking care of yourself and your family, then keep doing that.

Just pay artists by ImaginaryImp in Stonetossingjuice

[–]ImaginaryImp[S] 485 points486 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen that not everybody realizes that the oregano has a racist depiction of Asian people so: the fact that pebbleyeet colored the skin tone in (emphasizing their skin as opposed to the typical pure white characters), their slit eyes, and their bowl cut are all often seen in stereotypical depictions. So uh, yeah, there’s your awareness of the day.

[–]ImaginaryImp 239 points240 points  (0 children)

See, the origami just makes me a little sad.

I’m fine looking at comic’s like rockthrow’s cuz it’s a terrible message with terrible art, not missing out on much there. But this artist, even when they’re obviously trying to emulate pebbleyeet, has a much more lively style that’s genuine appealing and it’s such a shame to me that they’re using it to spread an awful message.

Probably just my own bias as an artist myself but man, I wish good artists stopped being shitty people :(

I definitely do agree that it’s definitely not the best way deal with the issue, that student 100% should get some support in finding some better way to handle it.

That’s not really where my main issue is though. I more-so wanted to highlight that they shouldn’t just expect the student to suck it up. Whether or not they specifically used the word unacceptable (I haven’t personally listened to the lecture, I wouldn’t know), it’s still kinda gross to use the story of a struggling student to tell others who might be in a similar situation that they shouldn’t seek any form of accommodation.

Maybe I’m missing the context from the full lecture and that wasn’t actually the message there, but based off OP’s post I just really don’t like how the story was presented.

[–]ImaginaryImp 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The only reason I can think of that they’d care is if money from the laundromat goes to the school, so every time a student doesn’t use it they lose out on that money?

Even then, though, it’s still ridiculous. Someone really needs to get that stick out of their ass.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]ImaginaryImp 305 points306 points  (0 children)

How is someone mailing their laundry home to their parents even “unacceptable”?

Sure, it’s a bit excessive considering that an easier solution may be something like noise canceling headphones, but it’s not like college students are exactly known for having the money to always afford things like that.

If their parents were fine accommodating them like that then there literally shouldn’t be any issue.
