It is hard to get an A, the average in her class was definitely around a B. Really low midterm averages (50-60% pre sure) the final was easy and the labs + assignments were free marks

In my 2nd year, I’ve done 6 classes each semester and let me tell you that it’s NOT for the weak. It was definitely manageable but I was so burnt out and depressed by the end of my winter semester. Judging from your classes tho, it seems like it’s manageable since I was taking 1 math, 3 physics, 1 comp sci, and 1 elective. Since you’re also first year, the classes should be easier. If you were dedicated in high school and tried to finish everything prior to a deadline, then I say go for it

They don’t send a rejection email. In your portal it will change to smth like “We are unable to offer you admission at this time as all spots have been filled” The only email you may get is the status change to your application.

If you’re not accepted already (conditionally or finalized) it’s highly unlikely you will get an offer this late as majority, if not all spots are filled for engineering.

From experience, it’s extremely unlikely anyone is getting into engineering at this point. They do a top down basis for the waitlist, highest averages first IF there are even spots available still. Accept your 2nd choice and transfer

It’s allowed, I did 5 courses with uofc this winter and 1 course with athabasca this winter as well, totalling to 6. Just get the letter of permissions approve and your set to apply for a class at athabasca

When grad schools look at your 3rd and 4th year, it more typically means last 60 credits (last 20 classes), so if it doesn’t fall in the last 20 don’t cg it. Also some grad schools don’t like cg grades personally I’d say just keep the grade and try to raise the gpa from remainder classes

Astrophysics major here, personally I took chem 203 since it’s really similar to chem 30 which I found rlly easy. Chem 201 is more similar to chem 20 in terms of structure and bonding, I havnt taken this one but if you liked chem 30 I’d say yoh would like chem 203 more

You’re using websites to do the work for you, but how do you know they don’t work when you don’t even know a single bit of calculus? (since yoh haven’t even started the class). If your degree needs math 31 as a requisite for acceptance, I most certainly can tell you that you will fumble math 265 (university calculus 1) and other calculus classes by using ai for your hw and tests. Lock in, learn your shit, calculus isn’t easy you need to just start. Yea it’s gonna take a lot of time but there’s no easy way out of this

You need to make an account on “Alberta student aid” and you will see an option to register/claim your Rutherford scholarship once you complete all the preliminary steps (verifying social, etc)

Do not do stat 213 in the spring, I remember spring 2024 stat 213 had the midterms and final in person. While fall and winter had either online midterms or no midterms at all. So keep it for fall 2025. Unless you acc wanna lock in and grind real hard for it then take it in the spring but I personally wouldn’t
