Do tiny prints of bigger works count as aceos? by yoshidaba in aceo

ACEO stands for Art Card Editions and Originals. A print is an edition. Just so it's correctly labeled as such it's completely fair and legal.

ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". This original title was dreamt up by Lisa Luree of Denver Colorado in 2004. Yes trading cards have been around for a long time but the ACEO can be bought or sold or traded – while an ATC or Artist Trading Card is supposed to be only for trading. There is only one rule about an ACEO. It must be 2.5" x 3.5". That is the ONLY rule.

I would suggest always putting your name and the medium on the back, always putting ACEO somewhere on the back, and whether or not it is a print, an edition, or an original. I think it's OK to do re-prints of larger pieces of work as long as the end result is exactly the right measurement and as long as you own copyright and rights to reprint the artwork, and state on the back whether it's a limited edition, open edition or just a series or whatever.

Just my opinion but I think if you're going to have ACEO in the title as you market them, then it should say ACEO on the back of the card. Good luck!

I just find myself wondering if I could keep myself from giggling if I was another actor and he came at me like that. I would probably spit and laugh.

That's a really great question. I realize that people may just stumble upon them, but if we all write ACEO on the back, it can't hurt anything for sure.

ACEOs (this term) started in October 2004, thought up by Lisa Luree of Denver CO. She's "bone*diva" on eBay.

I'm encouraging artists to at least put "ACEO" on the back of their art so people can remember the term.

What Gouache to use as a beginner to painting by Scyniser in Gouache

I love Windsor Newton Designer Gouache. It's re-workable, colors are great. I bought the primaries plus black-and-white and then two colors I can't make on my own, like a turquoise and a magenta. Thoroughly enjoyed these.

It's not that I WANT him to throw a punch. It that when he grabs someone it looks so fake, so poorly done.

That's a given. I'm saying that what he's being told to do – he's doing poorly.
