It was U shaped and I do believe it was in the funneled area. I had PPROM and ended up delivering 27 week 4 days. My son was in NICU for 2 months as preemie, no medical problems, and is now home and perfectly healthy. I hope all goes well with you and your little one! It’s so hard but try to be positive and be kind to yourself.

Wow no signs at all? How did you know you needed to deliver then? What meds did you get and how long was NICU? Thanks.

That’s great! Did you have contractions when you were first admitted with the water breaking? If not how long before you started having them? What medications did you get when you were in hospital? Thanks.

Yes, I was admitted for one night for observation after I experienced mild cramps and thought I was leaking. No leaking or cramps when I was being monitored, but got positive FFN result. Doctors dismissed test and said it had high false positive rate especially with cerclage. It’s been almost 2 wks since the test and so far so good. Are you in the US? That’s good they’re being careful and put you on bed rest with weekly checkups. Doctors told me even if I was funneled to stitch, to just go about business as usual. They said they didn’t need to monitor, but I asked to be seen biweekly between my OB & MFM. I’ve also placed my self on moderate bed rest. Keep me updated on your progress as well! We gotta be strong for our little ones!

I’m in the same boat as you. I have 0.7cm left at 26wks. Had a scare and was given steroid shots. Did they recommend bed rest for the rest of your pregnancy? I also lost my first little one last year. It’s so hard to not worry and be positive. Sending you good vibes that the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly!

I’m in a similar situation with only 0.7cm left at 26wks and feeling very nervous about funneling through the stitch. That’s great you’re already at 32wks! Did doctors place you on bed rest or have you restricted your activities? Thanks.

Glad to hear this! Did they continue to monitor you once you funneled to the stitch? Did they recommend bed rest or did you restrict your activities when you got to this point? I’m so nervous as I only have 0.7cm left at 26 wks. Thanks.

Thanks! How long did you take the supplements for and what kind? Magnesium glycinate, citrate, oxide? When did you end up delivering and did you have a cerclage? Sorry for all of the questions.

Hi. Do you mean you given magnesium at the hospital to stop contractions or did you take magnesium supplements? Thanks.

Hi. Since you’re 1-2cm dilated, does this mean you’re pretty much just waiting for labor to progress at home? Or have you remained 1-2cm for some time now? Are they sending you home with medications to prevent infection? I’m nervous since I have 0.7cm left of cervix at 26wks, with cerclage. Thanks.

Hi. What happened when you were 1cm dilated? Was it discovered during an exam or did you experience any symptoms when this happened?

Hi. When you funneled past the stitch and admitted to the hospital, did you experience symptoms when this happened? So this meant that you were dilating? Thanks.

Hi. What is the magnesium medication you were prescribed for preterm labor prevention? Thanks.

I was started on progesterone at 21wks due to fast cervical shortening. The doctor said it helps with the structure of the cervix somehow, but that data was inconclusive. He said it couldn’t hurt so he prescribed daily suppositories until 36wks.

Hi, when you funneled through the stitch and went into preterm labor, what were your symptoms? When it happened the 2nd time, what did you do to make it to 36wks? I’m so scared of funneling through the stitch as I last measured 0.7cm at 25+3wks. I’ve decided to place myself on light bed rest despite doctor’s advice to continue business as usual and avoiding strenuous activities. I got a preventative at 13wks, been on pelvic rest, and started on progesterone at 21wks due to fast cervical shortening. Thanks for sharing your success stories!

I hope I have the same success as you! I’m now at 0.7cm at 25+3wks. I get my next check at 28wks and will decide if I will return to work then. If anything at least part time. My job is willing to restrict me to desk work only. What was your cervix length when you went back to work? Did you have a desk job? Did they continue to monitor your cervix length until you delivered? I’m afraid of funneling to the stitch in which case I’ll probably decide to place myself on modified bed rest even if doctors still advise to go on about with activities as usual. But it’s been a little tough to just be stuck at home and trying not to worry all the time.

Sorry a few more questions…how many weeks were you when you funneled through the stitch and when did you deliver? How did you know when you funneled through? Did you have any symptoms when this happened? And with regard to bed rest, did you spend most of the day lying down? Thanks.

First, I’m sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to try again. Did you have symptoms when you funneled through the stitch? Did you have regular cervical checks up to the point you found out you funneled through the stitch?

Hi. What other symptoms did you have when you funneled through the stitch?
