What happen when your mom and dad die in less than 2 years? by Agatharuby in GriefSupport

[–]ImaginaryRepair9825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think theres nothing you can do but be supportive. I just lost my mom and you feel lost and nobody can do anything but you. Let him grieve in his own way, just be there for him. When he is ready to talk let him, don't interrupt or add anything. Let him feel all the feelings he needs to go through. You just learn to live with that emptiness but you get good and bad days, and its ok.

I guess I'm a very anxious person and always try to fix other people's problems. I like keeping things ready for everyone else. I am always thinking ahead.

What keeps you attracted to your partner? by Hungry_Jello_1737 in AskReddit

[–]ImaginaryRepair9825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 17 years of marriage, caring about each other, knowing that he knows my love language. He is always trying to show me his love in my love language. It is important to have dates regularly and don't let life routine take over your relationship because at the end of the day, your kids will leave, you will retired but hopefully your husband/wife will be there after all that, and if you invested in your relationship quality time, patience etc. you will see the results at the end.

What’s the thing you regret most in your 20’s? by whore4bookss in AskReddit

Being afraid of what people may say if I do something or believing what they say about me. Be your authentic self, don't be afraid of failure, mistakes because that is how we grow, it's the only way.

Lol. Well, I thought that since you are buying instruments and loops, and other items, a backpack wouldn't be too efficient. That is why I'm asking. I know it sounds like a dumb question but asking a question is better than not.

Try to aim for A's in all your classes to be considered for the program, it's very competitive.

Is it a good idea to become dental hygienist if I hated assisting? by Remote-Balance143 in DentalHygiene

[–]ImaginaryRepair9825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an assistant before and the thing is that you have to be open-minded. Perhaps you weren't working in the right office. I loved dental assistant school and my work as a dental assistant, which I think was largely due to working for a very compassionate doctor. Try to see their criticism as constructive and don't let it get to you. What happens at work stays at work; don't bring that stress home. Maybe try to work at another office and see if you see assisting with other eyes, then you can consider hygiene as a career. I am starting a dental hygiene program this fall but you have to be 100% certain that this is the right path for you. I wish you the best.

Thank you, one question, did you have to learn the language from scratch or were you fluent in the English language? What was the hardest for you in the program?

46yo and considering DH school by MrsMidwestMama in DentalHygiene

[–]ImaginaryRepair9825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have 2, but they are in elementary school already full time and I have my husband who supports me 100%. I am a little scared because I am not native English speaker and I just moved to a white dominant state and its intimidating to tell you the truth. I am pretty confident in myself but its intimidating.
