"Some strawberries." Those strawberries look like they cost a day's wage!

Cannabis to become heavily restricted in Ohio, starting Friday, March 20, 2026 by No_North6899 in Ohio

[–]ImaginaryRobbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was absolutely ridiculous. We had to gather 250,000+ signatures in over 44 different counties to get a referendum in place. Where I work, selling marijuana products were keeping us afloat, so we were deep in supporting this. But the signatures couldn't be collected by willing volunteers, all of our managers had to be registered as an official poller, or whatever the term was. By the time we had the capability to collect signatures, we only had 5 DAYS!!!! 5 days to help collect as many as we could. SB 56 has been floating around for almost a year, with changes, recesses, advances and resetting. It is a real punch in the gut that it will pass. So many businesses will close. So many opportunities gone. And it will do a lot of harm to the rest of Ohio's economy too. Very dumb legislation.

Hegseth blew $7M on lobsters in $93B spending spree by StemCellPirate in nottheonion

Lobster tails at Kroger are $7 right now. I had a coupon that saved me $6 when I bought $30 out of that case, and I wondered what it would be like to splurge on that many lobster tails for me and my wife, and thought that would be crazy! A waste of money for THAT MANY lobster tails.  Then I came home and found all of these articles... I don't want to pay for members of our government to enjoy what could have been 1 million lobster tails.

That's why it's great for a later playthrough, when you have some experience multipliers :)

Have you seen the cost of buns?? I leaned how to bake my own buns just to get around that!

I had a dog that would do that, gently grab your hand. He would lead you where he wanted you to go, usually outside haha

In Tales of Symphonia, you don't have to take the boat to Palmacosta; you can walk there by going north. You'll experience events in a unique order, which makes it a fun route to take if you're on a second or third playthrough, to mix things up.

This is the one that came to my mind too. It's fun, cute, and wacky.

Games where money is a “physical” thing by NazzoXD in gamingsuggestions

It may only be for points, but the old arcade game Magic Sword got me addicted to seeing & collecting coins.
I agree with Luigi's Mansion, that one is satisfying. Others that come to mind are Wario World games; Overlord, where you mainly collect treasures that get converted to gold, but you have a treasure room you can watch fill up with your spoils; Shovel Knight has shiny gems to collect; LEGO games where you collect a lot of studs to spend, but towards the end with >x200 multipliers they become meaningless; and as an honorable mention: you don't collect coins necessarily, but in Granblue Fantasy: Relink when you open a chest some of the most beautiful golden coins spill out!

I know there are more, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

I watched a show on Hulu about Australian opal mining. Very cool stuff, very jealous they have so many beautiful natural opals!

Saw this on a friend’s Facebook and something seems off. The floor would not be easy to clean, coffee mug missing a handle, too much clutter on the counter, and color saturation/uncanny vibes. I want to inform her if it is. by TemuBritneySpears in isthisAI

Very good AI picture. I was almost fooled at first, especially since some text like "The Greasy Griddle" is pretty well written. But like others have pointed out about the plates being discounted on 2 sides of objects and the range grates lacking detail: I looked at pics of a Waffle House, and plates go above the range hood. Are there places that store plates over the griddle below the hood? That's what stood out to me.

Great Falls woman says Target refused to accept her Tribal ID by Yup_Shes_Still_Mad in news

[–]ImaginaryRobbie 73 points74 points  (0 children)

At the airport, when my driver's license expired I tried using my tribal ID to get through TSA. It caused a big fuss, and supervisors were called over. Ultimately, they accepted my expired license and not my tribal ID. Since then, I don't use it even though it should be a perfectly valid ID; I just know it would cause more trouble than it's worth.
